TUITION & FEES
Dance fees include set weekend/weekday lessons as published, registration fees, and costume fees, as applicable. The payment options available are those set out in the parent portal. We do not accept cheques. Dance uniform, shoes and costuming supplies are not included in these fees, unless otherwise stated. Additional master classes, private lessons, workshops and majors and feis practices are optional and are pay as you. Teachers may offer additional optional services such as costume measurements or design, individual coaching or chaperoning for a pre-approved consultation fee. There are no refunds on competition fees once you have signed up - No exceptions. There are no refunds on Registration Fees and/or Tuition and first months' fees after registration is processed. Additionally, for those students signing up for a full season, there are no refunds after November 1, 2024, as the full season's fees are provided at a discounted rate and are based on a full season.

REFUND / WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Registration fees, Costume Fees and Session Fees (for short duration sessions) are non-refundable once processed. If you desire to withdraw your dancer at any point after registration, notice must be given in writing (email is acceptable) before the 15th of the current month, in which case the following month's regular lesson fees will not be processed. After November 1, 2024, there are no refunds and the season's tuition remains due and owing for the balance of the term (up to and including June). Retroactive refunds due to injuries and illness are not allowed unless special circumstances exist and have been brought to the attention of Piper Rose Studios Inc. and/or its director, Luanne Schlosser, where a refund, if any, shall be at the absolute discretion of Piper Rose Studios Inc. and its director. There shall be no refunds should a dancer opt not to attend several classes. We reserve the right to conduct classes in alternative format if force majeure circumstances exist. In all cases, equal or more class time will be provided to students. We further reserve the right to amalgamate classes with fewer than 3 dancers. By accepting these terms, I acknowledge and agree that fees are averaged over the 10 month dance season to encompass a year's membership.

CONFIDENTIALITY / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Irish Dancing is a competitive field, where each school has its own choreography, exercises, workshops, fees and class structure. All choreography, routines, practice techniques, manuals, instructor information, fee schedules, internal communication, and business files and practices (the "Intellectual Property") are the sole property of Luanne C. Schlosser, the Blakey Saskatoon School of Irish Danced (d.b.a. Piper Rose Studios Inc.), and/or affiliates including, but not limited to Barbara Blakey and Blakey Arts Inc. (collectively, "we", "us" or "Blakey School") and may not be shared outside of our school's membership. You acknowledge that dancers may be videotaped or photographed by instructors or their representatives for posterity, for educational or promotional purposes. You grant the right to the use of your/your dancer's image and likeness for these stated purposes. You agree to grant us a royalty free license in perpetuity for any photo or video you submit to us of your dancer. You agree that any recorded materials that you capture will not be shared with third parties without our express permission. You agree that neither your dancer nor you will post unauthorized photos or videos or share Intellectual Property via social networking sites or the like without having first received permission. By clicking accept, you are indicating that you have read and understand the confidentiality and intellectual property policy, and I agree to keep all Intellectual Property confidential.

WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

NOTICE: BY AGREEING TO THIS AGREEMENT, YOU WILL WAIVE OR GIVE UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE OR TO CLAIM COMPENSATION FOLLOWING INJURY, ILLNESS OR DEATH. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

1. CONFIRMATION OF HEALTH

I confirm that the dancer who I am registering (the "Participant") is in good physical health. I further confirm that the Participant has no underlying medical condition which may increase the risk for more serious complications from physical activity and/or COVID-19 including, without limitation, heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, asthma, muscle strains and sprains, or that if such illnesses and/or conditions exist, that I understand that this may increase the Participant's risk for illness, injury, loss, and/or death while participating in dance instruction at the Blakey School and activities related or ancillary thereto (the "Activities").

2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PANDEMIC RISKS AND VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand and acknowledge that the Participant's attendance in the Activities may involve risks to the Participant that may result in injury, illness, loss, and/or death. I am aware that COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic and that no cure exists at this time. I am aware that any increased social contact during this pandemic poses an increased risk of transmission and illness. I am aware that, despite adherence to local laws and regulations, other persons may attend the location in which the Activities take place and that those persons may have been exposed to COVID-19. I am aware of the risks, dangers and hazards associated with participating in the Activities and I (or on behalf of the Participant) freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, illness, loss or death resulting therefrom.

3. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ACTIVITIES, RISK AND VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF RISK

As with any physical activity, I understand and acknowledge that the Activities may involve risks to the Participant. Such risks include, without limitation, the possibility of accident or illness while traveling to and from events as well as any injury, loss, death, or property damage arising out of participation in the Activities. I am aware of the risks, dangers and hazards associated with participating in the Activities and I (or on behalf of the Participant) freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, illness, loss or death resulting therefrom.

4. WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I agree to waive any and all claims that I now or in the future may have against Luanne C Schlosser, Piper Rose Studios Inc. DBA Blakey School of Irish Dance, its directors, employees, instructors, agents, representatives volunteers, subcontractors, successors and/or assigns (the "Released Parties"). I further agree to release the Released Parties from all liability for any injury, illness, loss or death that arises during, or results from, my participation in the Activities due to any cause whatsoever. I release and forever discharge the Released Parties from all such claims.

5. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims and liability for any injury, illness, loss or death, including injury, illness, loss or death of any third party resulting from the Participant's participation in the Activities. This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity.

I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND THAT I UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT. I AM AWARE THAT, BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNS AND REPRESENTATIVES MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASED PARTIES. I CONFIRM THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT.

PRIVACY AND CASL WAIVER
By clicking accept, you agree and understand that the main form of communication used is email, and as such, you consent to receiving emails at those addresses provided during the registration process. You further agree that your name, dancer's name, phone number and email can be published to studio members and teachers, for the purpose or sharing information about Irish dance activities, fundraising, dance events, and to register for competitions. This information is considered "personal information" under Canadian law. Please be advised that your personal information may be processed by servers located outside of Canada.

Any use of the payment options on the parent portal are handled by secured third parties, where their privacy policies will apply to your personal information. You should read their policies if you have concerns about the use of your personal information. Outside of these stated purposes, no further information will be shared with a third party without your express written permission. This consent shall be valid until you withdraw it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Luanne Schlosser at luanne@blakeyschool.com.

ATTENDANCE COMMITMENT
You understand that your dancer's success is dependant upon regular attendance at class You also understand that irregular attendance causes class disruption and hinders the success of the other students. Accordingly, by clicking accept, you agree and understand that if your dancer misses more than 3 classes in a 1 month period, your dancer will be obligated to book a private lesson, and that I will be billed for that private lesson at a rate of $100.00 per lesson.

COSTUME RENTAL (FOR SASKATOON LOCATION ONLY)
Please be advised that a costume rental fee is applied for costume rental. By accepting this policy, I agree to execute any further waivers required for the costume rental. I further agree and understand that in the event of misplacement or damage to any costuming, that I may be charged the full replacement value of the costume. I agree to indemnify Piper Rose Studios Inc. harmless for any damage or destruction to costuming and all fees incurred in repairing or purchasing a replacement costume for damage caused to the costume while in my possession.
