Fees and Tuition -
All fees are non-refundable & non-transferable
Tuition is based on the length of enrolled classes. All fees are included in the monthly installment. Any missed classes for any reason can be made up in another “like” existing classes; There are no refunds for missed classes. Adding a class will incur additional charges and attendance of an additional class is your acknowledgment of & acceptance of these fees. Costume fees are added into the monthly tuition rate at the time of enrollment. Fees and Tuition all fees are non-refundable or transferable.
Auto-Draft Payment, ISF Fees & Late Fees
A credit/debit card is required with registration. To be auto-drafted each month at the applicable installment rate. Without a credit/debit card or canceled check provided to establish auto-draft, you may ONLY enroll by session and the entire session fee is due up front. IF auto-draft card is declined twice, within 10 days, late fees will be applied to your account. Any account over 30 days past due will result in the dancer being asked to sit and observe class until the account is paid to current. Once an account becomes 45 days past due, we will require the account to be brought current in order to return to classes.
Late fees accrue at $10 or 10%, whichever is greater, to your account each month. Payments are due on the FIRST and a grace period extends until the TENTH of the month. On the ELEVENTH, late fees will be added. Any other fees on your account (i.e. competition fees or retail purchase) that are not paid within 30 days of due/order date will also accrue a late fee. The late fee will be added EACH month at a rate of 10% or $10 (whichever is the greater amount). Any student with unpaid fees on recital date WILL BE PULLED from the show AND WILL NOT BE allowed to perform! If pulled from the show you will still owe all outstanding fees. After the Monday following recital, any unpaid amounts will be turned over to collections.
Any account over 90 days will be sent to a collection agency. Any fees charged by the agency will be added to the amount of the final bill. Collection agency rates are between 20-50% of the current balance.
Early Drop Off/ Late Pick-Up Fees
We do not have staff members to watch your child before or after class time. Please stay with your child until the teacher calls them into class and be prompt picking them up. A “sitting” fee may be applied to your account if a staff member must wait with your child after class ends or is dropped off unattended before class. These fees will be added to your account and a notice will be sent home.
First offense: first 10 minutes = verbal warning, over 10 minutes = $2 per minute
Second and subsequent offenses: first 10 minutes = $2 per minute, over 10 minutes = $5 per minute
Parents give permission for their child(ren) to be videotaped/photographed during but not limited to performances sponsored by the Studio throughout the dance year. These pictures could be used for promotional purposes (limited to studio activity) or on our Web Page.
Changes in Classes and Withdrawal Procedure
Withdrawal MUST be submitted in writing to the office staff. Verbal messages and phone messages are too often missed or misunderstood and will not be counted as a withdrawal notice. All costumes of withdrawn students will be held until after the spring show as they may be sold or borrowed if needed for the performance. Any withdrawals mid-season could result in additional fees, in addition to a $100 per dance restaging fee. Any changes in classes must be approved by the teacher(s) and the new tuition amount signed by parent/guardian.
In consideration of the foregoing instruction performed at The Dance Center Inc. for their child or children, the Parents hereby covenant and agree that the Parents shall be solely responsible and liable for all accidents or injuries caused by acts of the Parent’s child while on the Studio’s premises, and Parents shall indemnify and hold the Studio and its employees harmless from all liability, of whatsoever nature, for such accidents or injuries caused by the Parent’s child or children, including court costs, expenses, and reasonable attorney’s fees.
Parents give permission for their child/children to perform stunts, or other gymnastic activities in the classroom and in any and all performances. There is a risk associated with these activities, and the Parents will hold the Studio and its employees harmless from all liability, of whatsoever nature, for such accidents or injuries which may occur.
The parent and child agree to read our handbook and agree to adhere to the dress code and studio policies.
I have read and understand the terms above and agree. A hard-copy of the above will need to be initialed and signed with the front office staff.
