Policies and Procedures Handbook

For Student:

Registration Fee

All students will be charged a one time registration fee.  The fee is $25.00 per student.


Payment Procedures

All tuition is due on the first class of each month. All credit/debit card payments will have a 3.10% convenience fee applied.

We have an online pay portal system set up for your convenience.  This system allows for automatic payment, payment by credit card, and account monitoring/alerts for your student(s).

If you wish to pay by cash or check, you may do so during the first class of each month.

You are responsible for payment whether or not your student attends classes until you notify the studio in writing if dropping a class.

Late Fee

Tuition is due on the first class of each month.  Please pay careful attention to the late fee schedule below. 

1st of the Month: Tuition Is Due

5th of the Month: $25.00 Late Fee is Applied to Your Account

An additional $10.00 Late Fee will be applied for every 7 days past the 5th of the month that your account has an outstanding balance.

Please Note: Should your account be past due on the final day of the month, your child will not be allowed to participate in class until the account is paid in full. 


Returned Checks

There will be a $35.00 fee for any returned check.


Drop Procedure

Should you need to withdraw your child from Relevé Studios at any time, you will need to obtain a withdrawal form from the office so that we can properly withdraw your student.  In addition to the withdrawal form, you will be responsible for payment of tuition for the entirety of the semester in which your child is enrolled.  This applies to all Fall, Spring and/or Summer semesters.

If a withdrawal form is not returned to the Relevé Studios office, and your student does not return to class, you will still be responsible for tuition for the remainder of the semester in which your child was last enrolled.


Weather Days/Class Cancellation by Relevé Studios

Relevé Studios will make all efforts possible to contact you in the event of a cancellation.  We will notify via email, text, and/or Facebook posts.

In the event that Relevé Studios cancels a class for any reason, a make up class may be scheduled.


Absence Make Up Policy

In the event of an absence, competition students are allowed to make up classes that are missed.  Make ups are based on availability in other classes.  We request that you call in advance to notify us that the student will not be attending class.  We also ask that make-up classes be scheduled within two weeks of the absence.  Students will be allowed 2 make up sessions per season.  Any additional make up classes will be subject to a solo class fee of $25.00 per occurrence.


Arrival and Pickup

You are responsible for the arrival and pick up of your child to and from classes.  Relevé Studios does not have adequate staffing to watch your children, therefore we ask that you remain with your child or on the property during and between their classes unless arrangements have been made prior to your scheduled class. 

Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled class time to allow for a timely transition between classes.

Please instruct your child to wait inside the building for their class to be called into the studio.

We have designated waiting areas for parents and children, but should you choose to wait inside your vehicle, please be sure to escort your child to and from the building, as our parking lot can get very busy during peak times posing a significant danger.  Relevé Studio is not responsible for accidents or injury.


Parent Waiting Areas

We have designated waiting areas for our parents located in each studio.  To ensure complete focus of your child during class, please refrain from waiting inside the instruction area.  Periodical observation classes will be announced by your child's instructor(s).


Dress Policy

Ballet Students: During Ballet instruction, your student will need to wear a black leotard, pink tights, proper ballet shoes, and their hair pulled back out of their face.

All other Students: Your student may wear flexible shorts, leggings, or tights to any other dance class.  We ask that you make sure your child is able to have full range of motion in their chosen dance class clothing, and NO JEANS, DENIM, OR RESTRICTIVE CLOTHING.  Please make sure their hair is tied back out of their face.

Shoes: Your student is required to have the proper shoes for their class. Please make sure that your child does not wear their dance shoes outside of the building, as it can cause damage to their shoes as well as the studio flooring.


Studio Rules

Food/Drink: No food or drink is allowed in the studio.  Your child may have water in class if necessary.  Snacks may be eaten in the waiting areas.

Respecting One Another: Relevé Studios will not tolerate disrespect from any student towards themselves, another student, any adult, or their parent(s).  Respect and positive thinking are imperative parts of successful dance classes, therefore a child will get one warning, and any disrespectful action and/or comment thereafter will result in your student being asked to leave the studio for the day.

Positive Vibes Only: At Relevé Studios, we want to ensure we have fun, enjoy our classmates, and remain a loving dance family.  No negativity will be tolerated.  Please encourage your child to encourage others, and build their relationships with their dance family.
Solo/Duet Payments

All Solo and Duet tuition will be charged in full for the month with regular tuition.  You will be responsible to pay these fees in full with your tuition each month.  If your student does not attend their scheduled solo/duet time, you will still be responsible for the payment of that class time.  Due to the new monthly Solo/Duet tuition schedule, class tuition will be credited to your account should you allow a two week notice to the studio in the event that your child will not attend class on a specific date.  In the event that your child is ill and cannot attend their scheduled solo/duet time, a make up class will be scheduled for you.

For Student

We, the staff of Relevé Studios, recognize our obligation to make our participants and their parents aware of the risks and hazards associated with the sport of dance, tumbling, and acrobatic maneuvers.  Participants may suffer injuries; minor, serious, or catastrophic in nature or even death in rare cases.  Parents should make their children and self-aware of the possibility of injury and encourage their children and self to follow all safety rules and coaches' instructions.  Relevé Studios, its instructors and other staff members, are not liable for injuries sustained by any participant during, after or between classes, or during the course of any exhibition, competition, or clinic in which he or she may participate, nor while traveling to or from any event.

With the above in mind and being fully aware of the risks and possibility of injury involved, I consent to have my child, children, or self-participate in the programs offered by Relevé Studios.  I waive and release all rights and claims for damages that I or my child, children, or self may have against Relevé Studios and/or its representatives whether paid or volunteer. I understand that I, as a parent/guardian, understand that it is my responsibility to inform my child(ren) and myself of the potential dangers of the sport of dance, tumbling, and all athletic activities.  The parent should warn the child according to what the parent feels is appropriate.  Relevé Studios will only warn the child through safety messages through our teaching style and progressions.

I fully understand that Relevé Studios assumes no responsibility for any damages and/or injury.  I fully understand that Relevé Studios staff members are not physicians or medical practitioners of any kind. With the above in mind, I hereby release Relevé Studios staff to render temporary first aid to my child, children, or self in the event of any injury or illness, and if deemed necessary by Relevé Studios staff members and/or its representatives, whether paid or volunteer, to see medical help or the calling of an ambulance for said participant.

Relevé Studios is a recital studio with two (2) recitals each year. In December, we have a winter recital to wrap up the fall semester before the holidays. The second recital is in May to wrap up the spring semester. Recital fees will be added to each dancers account up to 2 months before recital. Our spring recital is larger and includes costumes for each dancer. Costumes will be included in the recital fee. All dancers are considered recital dancers unless we have a written notice of not attending.
