General Information:
Class Levels and Placement:
Class placement is determined by an evaluation. Certain technical expectations according to the Thrive standard must be met in order to progress to the next level; no matter how many years of training one might have. Levels are by technical proficiency and not by age. Students will be individually placed in classes that best suit their personal needs. These decisions are made in the best interest of the dancers to create a solid technical foundation. Dancers should expect repetition as a cornerstone to advancement. ***Ballet must be taken to enroll in a contemporary/lyrical class***

Dress Code:
Dancewear:
CREATIVE MOVEMENT: Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink LACE FREE ballet shoes.
COMBO CLASS: Black leotard, pink tights pink LACE FREE ballet shoes, tan LACE FREE tap shoes.
BALLET: Levels 1-8: Black leotard, pink tights, split-sole ballet shoes.
JAZZ: Ballet attire or black form-fitted clothing and tan jazz shoes
OTHER CLASSES: Ballet attire or black form-fitted clothing- nothing loose or baggy.
TAP (Levels 4+): Black tap shoes
HIP-HOP: Open dress code, please use discretion.

Hair:
Hair must be sprayed back securely in a bun so it does not fall out and disrupt the class for ALL classes except hip-hop.

Tuition, Payments, & Refunds:
1. Payment Options:

Monthly Auto-Pay: (September-June): With your authorization, 10 payments will be automatically charged to your debit or credit card through our encrypted auto-pay processing system. Cash or checks are not accepted for monthly payments.

Non-Sufficient Funds Policy: Accounts with insufficient funds will incur a $25 fee. Students whose accounts are not up-to-date will not be able to participate in classes, performances, or receive costumes until the account is brought current.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be granted up until October 12th less the cost of one month’s tuition. You are responsible for the full year’s tuition thereafter; whether or not the student decides to withdraw.

Referral Credits: Current Thrive dancers are eligible to receive $50 towards the following year’s tuition for every referral that registers for one full year at Thrive. Referral credits are unlimited.

1 Class Weekly: $750/year
2 Classes Weekly: $1425/year
3 Classes Weekly: $2050/year
4 Classes Weekly: $2700/year
5 Classes Weekly: $3100/year
Unlimited: $3300/year
Drop-in (45 min. - 1 hr.): $40/per class
CREATIVE MOVEMENT $125/Session!!!

*Tuition remains the same regardless of absences. Tuition is per year not per class, and all holidays and days off are accounted for in the yearly price.*

Performance Fees:

Nutcracker Fee
All ballet classes will participate in our annual Nutcracker Ballet Performance. There is a $125 (class) or a $325 (lead/solo) fee which includes one costume RENTAL, extra rehearsals, choreography, and all associated administrative costs. Extra costume rentals will be priced at $70/per costume for those in multiple classes/parts.. The performance will be the first or second weekend in December.
Recital Fee
All classes will participate in our year-end recital. There is an $85 per class recital fee which includes one costume. Combo classes will have a $170 recital fee as they will have two costumes/dances. All balances are due in full by January 1st. The performance will be the first or second weekend in June.






General & Administrative:
Thrive: The Essence of Dance - Policies & Code of Conduct:
Bullying or gossiping will not be tolerated. Everyone is expected to be friendly, supportive, and welcoming to all of their peers and visitors in and outside of Thrive.
Absolutely no cell phones, street shoes, food, or drink (other than water) in the classroom.
Please arrive 15 minutes before class- students will not be allowed to take class 10 minutes after start time. Please do not text Persephonie minutes before class as she will not be able to respond.
Parents and Students: Please do not interrupt teachers by phone or in-person during class time. The best way to resolve an issue, question, or concern is to contact Persephonie via email.
Disrespect to teachers or classmates will not be tolerated.
Students and teachers shall not exchange personal contact information as this disrupts the professionalism and integrity of the student/teacher relationship.
Students are not allowed to leave the building without written consent from a parent/guardian.
We are a NUT-FREE environment.

GENERAL WAIVER
1. I understand that participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance presents a possibility of physical injury and I voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities for any such injury or accident.
2. I release and hold harmless Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC, its owners, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest teachers, faculty members, and/or students from any claims, costs, liabilities, judgments, or causes of action from any damage, loss, or injury to me, my children, or property which may arise in connection with Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC.
3. I have read and understand everything in the Thrive Student Handbook and I will abide by the dress code, arrival times, agreed upon payment plan, and studio policies.
4. I authorize and agree that Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC may take and use photographs or videos of my child for promotional purposes.
If you have any concerns regarding your child’s physical ability to participate in any of the dance classes, it is advisable for your child to have a physical examination.
I acknowledge that I have read and understood all information in this packet and in the Thrive Student Handbook and I agree to all terms and conditions.

GENERAL WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
1. Participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance presents a possibility of physical injury, accident, or illness; such as but not limited to COVID-19.
2. Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC cannot prevent you [or your child(ren)] from any such accident, physical injury, or exposure/contraction of COVID-19 or other contagious illnesses while utilizing Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC’s services or premises. Therefore, if you choose to utilize Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC’s services and/or enter onto its premises you may be increasing your risk of physical injury,contracting or spreading COVID-19 and/or other contagious illnesses.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understood the above warning concerning physical injury and contagious illnesses such as COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risks for myself and/or my children in order to utilize Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC’s services and enter its premises.

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY: I hereby forever release, hold harmless, and waive my right to bring suit against Thrive: The Essence of Dance LLC and its owners, officers, directors, managers, officials, trustees, agents, employees, or other representatives in connection with physical injury, exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to utilizing Thrive: The Essence of Dance’s services and premises. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease, or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim I may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

CHOICE OF LAW: I understand and agree that the law of the State of Connecticut will apply to this contract.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL PROVISIONS OF THIS RELEASE, AND FREELY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME THE RISK AND WAIVE MY RIGHTS CONCERNING LIABILITY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE:
