Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance recognizes its obligation to make sure our students and their parents aware of the risks and hazards involved in the sport of dance. By agreeing to this waiver, I understand that Irish dancing is a voluntary recreational activity, that because of its physical nature, could result in injury. As a Parent or Legal Guardian of the minor student listed on this form, I certify that there are not any health conditions that would limit his/her ability to participate in classes and understand that all classes are taken at one's own risk. I release Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance, it's staff, volunteers and representatives from all claims on account of any injury which may be sustained arising from or relating to participation in dance classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, events, and other activities.
* Dancers must be in good health in order to participate in classes.
* Dancers must not have had contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who has symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
* All dancers will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before and after class.
* Dancers must wear masks while in the studio.
Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance Policies-
COVID-19 Studio Policies- The following guidelines will be evaluated and updated regularly based on the latest CDC and government guidelines.
Please arrive to class on time. Punctuality is crucial in order to properly enforce our safety procedures.
Everyone will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the building.
Dancers and instructors will be asked to wear a face mask while inside the studio.
Dancers must be in good health in order to participate in classes. Dancers must not have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who has symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days. Dancers who test positive for COVID-19 must remain at home until they have been cleared by a doctor and must provide documentation.
The lobby/waiting area will be closed to families until further notice. An exception will be made for younger dancers who are adjusting to our studio and teachers. One parent/adult per child will be allowed in the lobby as needed and will be asked to maintain social distancing.
Class sizes are limited to 5-10 dancers (in-studio)
Dancers will remain socially distanced throughout their class time. There will be no physical contact between dancers at any time.
Dancers will not be sharing items. Please send students with their own water bottles and any necessary supplies.
In order to maintain social distancing, students will be escorted out by a staff member and released to their parent/guardian once they have been identified.
Staff will clean and sanitize all high-contact surfaces, chairs, floors and bathrooms between every class.
The entrance to the studio will remain locked until cleaning procedures are completed between classes.
If the event that studio is required to cancel in-studio classes, all classes will continue virtually until the studio is allowed to reopen. Dancers wishing to withdrawal will be required to follow our withdrawal policy (see below).
Registration, Tuition and Withdrawals-
A non-refundable fee of $25 per student plus first month's tuition is required at the time of registration.
Unless the full season's tuition is paid in full at the beginning of the year, monthly tuition must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment on the 25th of every month to pre-pay for the upcoming month.
Regular Dance Season (September-June) Tuition: 10 monthly tuition instalments
First payment: at the time of registration to pre-pay for the first month of classes
Final Payment: May 25, 2020
Late Fees: If your payment is declined, and your tuition instalment remains unpaid, a $10 late penalty will be charged on the 5th of the following month.
Withdrawal: I understand that in order to withdraw mid-season, I must fill out a withdrawal form before or on the 15th of the month to not be charged for the following month's tuition. Dancers who withdraw mid-semester will forfeit their class spot and may not be able re-enroll in classes until the next season begins. There will not be any refunds on tuition already paid.
Good attendance is imperative to the growth and success of your dancer. Please make every effort to attend class. Missed classes cannot be deducted from tuition payments. Make-up classes should be attended (see below)
If a student misses a class, they are encouraged to attend a make-up class. Make-up classes will be held once per month as needed. Please email us to schedule a make-up class.
Thanksgiving break- No classes 11/25-11/28
Christmas Break- No classes 12/24-1/3
Winter Break- No classes 2/15-2/20
Spring Break- 3/29-4/3
Inclement Weather Procedures-
Scoil Rince Branwen reserves the right to cancel classes at our discretion due to inclement weather. In the event that classes are cancelled there will be a message posted on Facebook (school page and family group) and an email will be sent out. You will NOT receive a phone call.
Weather and road conditions vary throughout the area. Always use your best judgement on whether you can safely drive. The safety of our dance families is always our first priority. Classes can always be made up according to our make-up class procedures listed above.
All students are required to wear appropriate attire which adheres to the studio dress code for the class they attend. Students who do not come in proper attire will not be allowed to participate in class.
Appropriate Dance Class Attire-
· Leggings or Shorts
· Long hair pulled back in a ponytail, braid, or bun
· Irish Dance shoes
Inappropriate Dance Class Attire-
· Jeans or any pants that restrict movement
· Dresses or skirts
· Anything with inappropriate graphics or wording
· Anything with glitter or sequins
· Loose jewelry
· Bulky clothing- pajamas, sweatshirts
· Short shirts, sweaters, bra tops, spaghetti straps, backless, and strapless tops
No chewing gum in class
No food, drinks or candy are allowed in the studio with the exception of water in a closed bottle (no open cups).
Instructor substitutions, modifications and changes can occur at the sole discretion of Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance.
Dancers may store their belongings in the lobby or inside the dance studios at their own risk. Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance and its staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home!
For the security of our dancers, no photos or videos are to be taken during class times.
We reserve the right to dismiss or refuse classes to anyone who does not comply with these policies, creates an unsafe environment, or who otherwise in our judgment disrupts the harmony or reputation of Scoil Rince Branwen Irish Dance.
