Dress Code

Proper attire and shoes are required for all dancers at "Legacy Dance Academy". The dress code allows more freedom of movement, ensures safety in the studio, and instructors are better able to correct alignment and muscle use. The dress code allows dancers to focus on learning and having fun!
Please know that dancers who do not follow the dress code may be asked to observe class. Please follow the link below to see specifics on the dress code.

Hair needs to be completely out of the face (Ponytail or bun)
Curtain bangs (bangs) must be clipped back and out of the face.
No jewelry may be worn during class (stud earrings are acceptable)

Dress Code:
Ballet:
• Black leotard, convertible pink (or skin-toned tights), ballet skirt or ballet shorts, pink (skin tones ballet shoes), hair in a bun or pulled back and up off of the neck.

*Tight-fitted dancewear is imperative for this class- the instructor must be able to observe body alignment

Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Acro- any style leotard with dance shorts or leggings, a dance bra, or a form-fitting athletic top may be worn instead of a leotard.

Toddler Combo- Ballet shoes, black beginner tap shoes, any color leotard, convertible tights with hair pulled back out of the face- NO loose &/or street clothing. Please do not send your child to class with accessories or toys (anything & everything is a distraction at this age!) Please no ballet wrap skirts with ties or tutus.
