RULES AND REGULATIONS
Policies:
1. By enrolling at The Dance Empire parents/students agree to all policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
2. TDE takes every precaution necessary to ensure students are in a safe and protective environment and shall not accept any liability for loss or damage to personal property.
3. No bullying will be tolerated. TDE is a safe place for students and teachers.
4. Gossip and criticism will not be tolerated by students or parents.
5. The Dance Empire reserves the right to terminate enrolment at its discretion.
Medical Conditions:
6. It is understood and agreed that all students take classes at their own risk and no liability under any circumstances shall be undertaken by the proprietors for injury or loss of personal belongings.
7. TDE is a nut-free zone.
8. Students/parents or guardians are responsible for, and should inform the teacher and update their online portal of any special health considerations or existing injuries before participating in class. If an action plan is required this must be provided before participation in class.
9. By enrolling at The Dance Empire you consent to first aid being administered if needed and in the event of an emergency, for an ambulance to be called.
Fees:
10. Enrolment and Registration fee must be paid before students can commence classes. Fees are GST inclusive.
11. All fees must be paid by the month/term in advance. Students will be suspended if payments are not made 2 weeks after due date.
12. $10 late fee will occur for any late payments made after the due date.
13. Payments in cash must be in an envelope marked with students name, classes cannot be interrupted to make payments.
14. Fees, uniforms, performance fees, concert tickets, costume deposits and costume balances are non refundable.
15. Fees are NOT refunded for missed classes due to illness, isolation or vacations. Make up classes may be available.
16. Enrolment is for the entire year. No refunds are given for fees paid in advance
17. In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including commission on collection of the additional costs and also including legal demand costs.
18. All cancellations and class changes must be made by emailing thedanceempire@hotmail.com 4 weeks written notice is needed to cancel enrolment.
Class Attire & Etiquette:
19. Uniforms and shoes are compulsory and must be worn by all students.
20.Hair must be tied up off the face and jewellery kept to a minimum.
21. Students must bring a labeled water bottle to all classes.
22. Gum is strictly forbidden in all dance classes.
23. No cameras or videos are allowed unless consent from the teacher is given.
24. Mobile phones must remain in bags at all times during class.
25. Please refrain from opening the studio door while classes are in progress, teachers will open the door and let the next class in once the previous class has finished. Students arriving early or having breaks must wait in the waiting room.
Watching:
26. Parents and siblings are not permitted to sit in on classes.
Classes:
27. Classes are divided by age groups. It is the sole discretion of the principal to place students in other age groups.
28. Acrobatics classes are divided by age groups as well as skill and ability.
29. For our preschool students, we expect parents to stay within studio premises for the duration of their child’s classes.
30. We are only responsible for students during their class time. We do not accept responsibility once they have finished their classes. Please be on time to pick up your child after class.
General:
31. There is to be NO SMOKING in front of the studio or any of the shops.
32. The chairs of The Dance Empire are to remain in front of The Dance Empire.
33. Students may be filmed or photographed during class times, performances or other activities conducted by The Dance Empire. This then may be used for future promotions and advertising, including all social media accounts.
34. We ask that any student who is unwell with flu like symptoms refrain from coming to class.
