Under COVID-19 related restrictions, duty of care requires that Megan’s Dance Studio implements policy and procedures in line with: DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (DHHS) CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION.
This COVIDSafe Plan has been prepared to protect staff, students, and parents.
Our primary focus is to keep our dance family safe and our CovidSafe Plan has been developed in line with the current Vic Government directions and advice from our industry bodies (AusDance Victoria, Dance Art Alliance, Keep Kids Safe in Dance).
All criteria for our return to the studio are in accordance with current Victorian State Government guidelines.
This document covers the requirements for a Density Quotient of 1 person per 4 square meters and will use Electronic Record Keeping.
As of 5 November 2021:
No more than 63 people are allowed in the venue at any one time, subject to the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.

As required by the Victorian Department of Health:
Physical distancing of 1.5 meters between people must be practiced at all times.
Masks to be worn in the venue.
Only fully vaccinated participants over 16 years can enter the studio, unless they hold a medical exemption.
All parents need to sign in via the QR Codes are located at the front door
Practice good hygiene.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (DHHS) BUSINESS SECTOR INFORMATION – ADVICE FOR CLEANING AND DISINFECTING IN A NON-HEALTHCARE SETTING.
Cleaning[1] means to physically remove germs (bacteria and viruses), dirt and grime from surfaces using a detergent and water solution.
Disinfecting[2] means using chemicals to kill germs (bacteria and viruses) on surfaces using a liquid disinfectant.
MEGAN’S DANCE STUDIO – DUTY OF CARE
WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The studio will be cleaned every day with a disinfectant touch point clean on highly touched surfaces. (2 in 1: clean and disinfect).
The studio will complete a disinfectant touch point clean, reception and studios daily during studio days
No physical corrections, modifications or spotting will be done.
No partner work or physical contact between students, students are to refrain from hugging, high 5s or close contact with others.
Travel / corner / drills and choreography of dance routines will be taught, maintaining social distancing requirements.
RECORD KEEPING FOR CONTACT TRACING REGISTER
To support contact tracing each person who attends the premises must sign in.
The Electronic sign in details are held by Services Victoria as per their privacy policy.
PARENTS AND DANCERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Ensuring your dancer is fully vaccinated or has a medical exemption if over 16 years of age.
Ensuring you/or your dancer signs in via the QR code.
Dancers only are to enter the studio. NO PARENTS ONSITE EXCEPT FOR UNDER 3’s
(1 parent per child, and must be fully vaccinated)
Dancers are to bring their own water bottle to class.
Do not attend classes if unwell or if you have been told to isolate.
Students will hand sanitise and be escorted to the exit where parents are to collect them, parents and students must maintain social distancing during exit and pick up, even outside of the building.
