Dress code, Shoes and what to wear

OPTIONAL UNIFORM....
Megan's dance studio Dance Wear and Hoodies are now available to purchase from reception. Please speak to miss Megan.

*Although we do not have a set uniform children SHOULD be wearing appropriate DANCE CLOTHING
as this does not restrict their movement, and allows for technique corrections.
Leotards, bike pants, dancedress, activewear, leggings, crop tops and singlets are acceptable
NO BAGGY CLOTHES TO BE WORN


CORRECT SHOES ARE COMPULSORY .
Here is a list of which shoes each age group requires!

KINDER BALLET/JAZZ
3-4yrs- PINK BALLET SHOE

JAZZ CLASSES
5-6yrs-PINK BALLET SHOE
7-9 yrs- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)
10+yrs- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)
13+- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)

Boys are to wear a black ballet shoe OR black jazz shoe.

TAP-
All age groups will require TAN tap shoes.

BALLET/LYRICAL
All age groups will require pink ballet shoes.

HIP HOP- sneakers

ACRO- bare feet

Hair MUST be tied back neatly.
NO HAIR DOWN at dancing!

SCHOOL UNIFORMS, AND CASUAL STREET WEAR is NOT appropriate dance wear

Parent Expectations:
Your student is to be on time to class;
Your student is to wear the required dance shoes for their age;
Your student’s hair to be neatly tied back/off their face;
Park only in MDS signed parking or on street parking;
Any fines for using unallocated parking spots will be passed on to the parent.
