Attendance Policies & Absences

For the best experience, learning and progression, all students are expected to all classes and related rehearsals, events, etc. and participate accordingly. This also means arriving on time and prepared for classes and related activates.
If you are going to be absent, please submit as soon as possible on your DSP/Parent Portal or via email to Dreamworkspac@gmail.com
Please report any expected or unexpected absences ASAP as it can impact the class lesson planned and in certain situations we may need to cancel class if we do not have minimum required.
In the event or injury or non-contagious illness, a dancer can observe class or modify dance activity.
We request you contact us in advance via email - dreamworkspac@gmail.com or on on BAND to Miss Heather or Miss Amanda with the related information so we can help determine best plan for these situations.
Attendance is crucial during Nutcracker and other rehearsals and during the second half of the year when Showcase dances are the focus.
Multiple absences may jeopardize your participation in related performances and acitivities.
Please do not come to the studio if you are ill or experiencing symptoms that are potentially contagious.

Any studio injuries and accidents must be reported to Miss Amanda or Miss Heather immediately.
If you have an injury outside of the studio or experiencing some pain, please consult with us.
Any injuries will need a doctor's note to resume dance activities.
Holidays, Breaks & Important Dates- check on BAND for all current info. Refer to BAND calendars for any dates we are closed such as school vacation breaks (Thanksgiving, December, February, April).
We follow school calendars for some but not all closures. We are closed for weekly classes generally on Military Holidays.

We reserve the right to cancel and/or reschedule classes as needed.
All closure dates are posted on BAND (see calendar).
Online classes will constitute in-studio classes to ensure continuation of dance curriculum when available.
No Refunds/adjustments will be issued.
Your enrollment is for the entire dance season unless otherwise specified (such as summer classes, clinics, intensives).
Our full dance season runs September - June. Those who enroll during this time are participating in all classes and related events, performances and activities for the full dance season. This is a full season dance commitment and as such our financial and attendance policies are based on this. We may sometimes offer classes that are not part of this full season such as our summer programs, mini dance sessions and other types of lessons or events. Such programs will generally be paid in full upon enrollment and differs from our full dance season experience. Related policies apply and are subject to change.
Dance Dreamworks, Dreamworks Performing Arts Center, Amanda Singer and associated persons will be held harmless for any studio delays, closures or the related due to Government Shut Down, Emergency Orders, fire, flood, weather, and any Act of God whether physical or otherwise.
