2023 - 2024 Registration Polices

If you register and take a space in class you are committed to and agree to pay tuition for that class until either the end of the session, including participating in the end of the year recital on the first weekend in June, or you drop the class by completing a Class Cancelation From. Single classes may be available, if not full, without commitment for a single class fee If you request to be added to the class, you are REGISTERED for the class.
Every student MUST have a Credit Card Form filled out and on file. If tuition is NOT paid by the 5th, that card will be charged.
Important must know information.

Registration Fees
Each student will be charged a non-refundable annual registration fee payable in August or upon registration. Discounts may be given for multiple students in a single family. Single class fees will be higher if the registration fee is not paid. Single classes may not be available if the class is full and there is not guarantee of future space. Registration fees are not prorated.
Tuition Fees:
Fees for class may be paid by the 1st day of the month or by the class.
Statements are billed and due on the 1st of each month.

Auto debt there is a 3.00% processing fee that is charged as well. (Must fill out form titles Credit Card Form (Application and Authorization)
Every student MUST have a Credit Card Form filled out and on file. If tuition is NOT paid by the 5th, that card will be charged.
Late fees, return check fees, and other fees may be added to account.
Class cancelation:
A class cancelation form is required (see forms). Not attending class is NOT considered a notice that you want to withdraw from a class.
If withdrawing from a class before October 15th, 2023, you will NOT have a costume fee to pay. If you are cancelling after October 15, 2022, you will be responsible for the full cost of costume for the enrolled class.
NO cancellations will be excepted via text, messenger, email, voicemail, or online.

Recital 2024
Every student is required to be a part of the recital. All dates regarding Dress Rehearsals and recital are included multiple times in this packet.
Studio Rehearsals: May 20th - May 22nd, 2024
Stage Rehearsals: May 28th - 30th, 2024
Stage Dress Rehearsal: May 31st, 2024
Recital dates will be June 1st, 2024.
There is a $50 non-refundable recital fee due February 1st, 2024. This fee covers the cost of the auditorium, programs, technicians, and other costs.
Each student will be required to purchase one costume per class and one pair of tights. Costumes are yours to keep at the end of the season. Costumes will NOT be released before May 2024, and they must be paid in full before you take them home. $80.00 costume fee will be due on OCTOBER 15, 2023.
Once the costume has been ordered, there is no refund or cancellation. Depending upon the costume design, you may be required to purchase additional accessories such as bows, specific shoes, and other accessories.

Other Fee Policies
ALL FEES are non-refundable.
Every student MUST have a Credit Card Form filled out and on file. If tuition is NOT paid by the 5th, that card will be charged. If this happens, late fees of $25 will be added as well.
All outstanding balances must be paid in full before costumes are handed out and before any student can perform in the recital.
All accounts must be paid in full before registering for the next session.
Accounts with a history of non-payment or non-compliance with the studio policies may be barred from registration and may be asked to leave the studio or may be asked to repay tuition.

Makeup Policy
If for any reason an instructor will need to cancel a class, the instructor will reschedule a makeup class time.
If your student misses a class due to illness, appointment, etc. they are able to make up that class with a class of similar level, class must be made up during that same calendar month.
No refunds or credits are given due to make-up classes or missed classes.

Studio Rules:
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class start time.
Make sure you are properly dressed, hair pulled back, and shoes on when your class begins.
Arriving more than 10 minutes late is considered a missed class.
Parents, friends, and siblings are NOT allowed in classrooms during class.
We need our dancers focused, dedicated, and working hard.
Families are encouraged to watch their child’s class the 1st of every month beginning in October.
If your child has special needs, behavioral issues, or an injury please let the instructor know so we will be able to accommodate your dancer.

Studio App:
We now have an app! You can pay your tuition for the month on the app, as well as get updates about the studio, get access to classes, registration, and studio contact information.
To download the app on your mobile device:
1) search The Dance Academy in the app store on your device. The app is pink with The Dance Academy logo on it.
2) Download the app. It is free. You can also download the app off google play. Down below is a QR code to scan that with your camera and it will give you access to download the app.

Studio Communication
The Dance Academy communicates primarily by email based on the email address you provide the studio. Monthly newsletters are sent by email and reminders also may be sent by email. Our newsletter is also available on our website. If you are not receiving our emails, please check your spam for an email from bbrennerdance@hotmail.com and then contact the front desk. Please note that if you UNSUBSCRIBE to our email service, we can NOT add you back to the mail list. Please contact the front desk so we can walk you through the process to re-subscribe.
It is the parents/account holder’s responsibility to keep informed of all policies and deadlines.
All parents and students are expected to read and comply with all studio policies, procedures, newsletter, recital information, etc. Available via email, on the website and at the studio.

Contact Us:
The studio primarily uses email as our main point of contact. If you do call and leave a message or text, please make sure you leave your name, dancer’s name, followed by a brief message.

Dress Code:
Ballet: Black leotard (any style), white or pink ballet tights. Skirts (short, sheer, and approved by instructor), PINK ballet shoes
Tap/Ballet Combo Class: Black leotard (any style), white or pink tights. Pink Ballet shoes and Black tap shoes.
Tumbling: Any color leotard, spandex shorts, boys can wear a t-shirt and alethic shorts.
Jazz: Black leggings or black spandex shorts, tight tank top, sports bra, or leotard. Black jazz shoes
Tap: Black leggings or black spandex shorts, tight tank top, sports bra, or leotard black tap shoes
Lyrical: Black leotard (any style), white or pink ballet tights. Skirts (short, sheer, and approved by instructor), tan half-sole shoes
Musical Theater: Black leggings or black spandex shorts, tight tank top, sports bra, or leotard. Tan musical theater shoes
Company Classes: Black leggings or black spandex shorts, tight tank top, sports bra, or leotard appropriate style dance shoes
NO JEANS
NO JEWLERY (not even small earrings)
NO STREET SHOES on the dance floors
IF STUDENTS ARE NOT IN CORRECT ATTIRE, THEY MAY BE SENT OUT OF CLASS AND PARENTS WILL BE ASKED TO PICK THEM UP
