SCD Privacy Policy

At Sutton Community Dance (SCD) CIC, we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Who are we?

SCD CIC is a social enterprise improving social, physical and mental health across the London Borough of Sutton through dance. SCD CIC is a community interest company limited by guarantee (no. 12034961). The registered address is 129 Stanley Park Road, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 3JJ.

For the purposes of this policy, references to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘SCD’ mean Sutton Community Dance CIC.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services, to book a class, to submit a comment on our blog or if you register to receive one of our regular newsletters.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, organisation, telephone number, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you make a payment online or book a class with us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.

How is your information used?

We will collect your personal data in a number of ways including, but not limited to:

· When you sign up to our e-newsletter

· When you become a member of SCD

· When you complete a campaign action online

· When you sign up as a volunteer

· When you submit a comment on our website blog

· When you make a payment to us, either by post, online (either directly or by using a third-party donation platform), over the phone or via SMS/text. We also collect information about you when you make a donation to us through setting up a standing order or Direct Debit

· When you attend events hosted by SCD.

We will ensure that this information is processed in a lawful manner and is only used for relevant and necessary purposes.

· to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us

We will tell you how long this is, when we initially collect your information. If you have signed up to receive email communications from SCD, you will continue to receive these until you actively unsubscribe.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties and will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

When you are using our secure online payment pages, your payment is processed by a third-party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.

We may transfer your personal information to a third party if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our supporters and customers. Please note that no access fee will be charged for reasonable access requests, however we retain the right to charge for repeat or excessive requests.

Sometimes there may be a reason why access will not be possible. If that is the case, you will be told why.
