Studio Etiquette & Liability Release

GENERAL
All students and their parents are expected to treat instructors, other parents and other
students with respect and courtesy at all times. Failure to comply with this rule will result in
dismissal and forfeiture of tuition.
Dance Branson is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
A lost and rarely found box is located in the dressing room; items will be donated to charity frequently.
LOBBY:
Please do not let children run and play in the lobby area. With our lobby being larger and other businesses being in our building, we will have to ask parents with children running around to wait outside. Please keep an eye on children and do not let them go into other hallways. Dance Branson is not responsible for accidents on stairs and ramp, back hallway, and Hang Out Room. We ask everyone to be responsible and respectful in creating and maintaining a safe space for ALL of our dancers, families, and guests. Please do not allow your children to run and play on the stairs and ramps, bean bags, and chairs in hangout room.
All dancers will go directly to the room their class is in. Dancers
should change into the appropriate dance attire and shoes, use the restroom, eat a snack,
etc. before class begins.
Children under 7 years should not be left in the lobby unattended.
All food and drink should remain in the lobby. No food is allowed in the Dressing Room, Dance Rooms or TV Room.
STUDIOS:
Absolutely NO food or drink allowed in the dance rooms. Only water will be allowed in a
closed container. Older students, NO cell phones will be allowed in class. No students
allowed in rooms without a teacher present. No ‘playing” in studios before classes.
PARENTS & VISITORS:
Parents please be respectful of others in the lobby. If you bring siblings or other children into lobby, it is your responsibility to keep them from running and playing around in the lobby area. Please inform your teacher if someone different will be picking up your child.
We will not let children leave with unknown adults.
PICK UP & DROP OFF:
Do not drop your student off more than 10 minutes before any class. Students must remain
inside the lobby after class and watch for parents through the doors; they are not allowed to
wait outside.
Shopping Centre:
Dance Branson is not responsible for children who visit any part of the
shopping complex. Students will not be allowed to leave the dance studio without parent permission.
RESTROOMS:
Please encourage your child to use the restroom before class, as doing so during class time is
distracting and takes away from their learning potential.
WEATHER RELATED CLASS CANCELLATION:
In case of inclement weather, Dance Branson will send out timely notices. Please check your
texts, email and/or the Dance Branson Facebook page for information regarding class cancellations.
If Branson schools cancel, all morning classes will be canceled. Evening classes will be determined by road conditions and weather reports. Each class is allowed one missed class before class will be made up.
CLASS PLACEMENT:
Class placement is at the teacher’s discretion. Not all students will move up a level every
year. Some students will remain in the same class level for two years or more depending on
their development. We would be happy to set up a meeting if you have questions regarding
placement. The final decision will be based on what the teacher thinks will benefit the
student the most. We ask that you trust and respect our decisions.
LIABILITY RELEASE:
I hereby state that the student(s) listed on this registration is in good physical health and has no
physical impairments that would prevent participation in classes or public appearances
arranged by Dance Branson. I understand that physical activities involving motion carry the
possibility of injury. The student(s) listed on this registration is participating in these activities at
his/her own risk. I understand that during class, teachers may use hands-on techniques for
the teaching of proper positions and prevention of injuries. I understand that pictures and or
video taken during classes, rehearsals or performances of the student(s) listed on this form
may be used for promotional purposes. I hereby waive and release any and all claims I may,
or in the future, have against the instructors, employees, contractors or owners of Dance
Branson while participating in class, rehearsals or public appearances arranged by Dance
Branson.
