Mandatory Uniform Policy
It is compulsory for all students to wear the Rockit uniform during classes. Casual clothing and school uniforms from other institutions are not permitted in the classroom.
Benefits of Uniforms
At our studio, uniforms serve several important purposes:
Fostering Community
Wearing uniforms helps students feel a sense of belonging and unity within our community. It creates a shared identity and promotes a spirit of camaraderie among peers.
Enhancing Focus
We find that students are better able to shift their focus and concentration towards their studies and dance training when they are dressed in their uniforms. The uniform helps create a mindset conducive to learning and practicing.
Ensuring Safety
Uniforms provide safe and appropriate clothing for students to engage in dance activities. The specific design and materials used in our uniforms allow for freedom of movement while minimizing potential hazards or distractions.
Uniform Sales
Uniform sales are available every Saturday during school terms, from 9am to 12pm.
Appropriate Footwear
Students must wear appropriate shoes for their respective classes:
- Ballet: Ballet shoes with elastic (no ribbons)
- Tap: Tan tap shoes
- Jazz: Black jazz shoes
- Hip Hop: Plain black sneakers (Cadet to Junior), white high-top sneakers (Intermediate to Senior)
- Breaking: Plain black sneakers
- Heels: Black wide rubber heel boots (no stilettos)
- Lyrical: Bare feet (Cadets) Toe socks or half soles for Primary to Senior students
- Acro: Bare feet
- Dance Cheer: Plain white sneakers
- Broadway: Black lace-up canvas sneakers
- Mini Ballet - ballet shoes
- Mini Lyrical & Pockit Rockit - bare feet
- Mini Hip Hop - plain white sneakers
