Covid-19 Guidelines/ Policy

These are the Covid-19 Guidelines for student of the Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society Performing Arts Academy; which are to be adhered to by students while in attendance.

•Students must adhere to social distancing at all times while on the premises. Each student will be placed in a pod of 6 (this will be the same pod each week) with a max. of 24 per class.

•Prior to entry Treble Makers must wear face covering (mask/ visor). Face coverings must remain in place until they are within the classroom and if they move around the building.

•Outside of the building; physical distance of 2m (6ft) distance must be maintained during drop-off and collection. students must enter at designated drop off/ collection points.

•Prior to entry students/ parents/ guardians must complete Covid-19 questionnaire in the parent portal 24hours prior to drop off at first class. If a student is absent for one class the form will need to be filled in again prior to return.

•Upon entry into building students are to hand sanitise their hands at the station inside the door.

•No parent/ guardian is permitted within the building unless prior request is received by email/ phone.

•Students are not permit access to other areas of the building besides their classrooms. Separate Toilet Facilities will be provided for each class.

•Queuing system will be in place for toilets to
maintain social distancing. Max. of 2 persons permitted within the toilet facilities (except for Upper Foyer and Rehearsal Room Male toilets max. one occupant) Students will only be permitted to use facilities while maintaining social distance during lesson change over;(intervals of 40mins) to decrease movement during class outside of dedicated area.

•Students are asked to bring with them re-usable labelled water bottles. No disposal bottles permitted. If an unlabelled re-usable bottle is located after class, it will be disposed of to reduce any risk of virus spreading.

•Students remain at classroom location with Assistants; Tutors move between classrooms.

•No physical contact permitted, to reduce transference.

•Students must wear appropriate clothing for Academy to reduce assistance from Tutors

•Students will be assigned to colour coordinated pods

•If parents/ guardians have more than one student in different areas of building, student will strictly not be permitted to exit via other doors, only through assigned doors (parents will be instructed to proceed to other doors for collection for other students).

•In the event there is a suspected case, procedures will be followed to reduce the risk of transference.
Each child attends class of their own free will and are fully aware of any risks associated with Covid-19. We the Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society Performing Arts Academy can not be held responsible should any child start showing symptoms, or contract any illness, virus or infection. HSE guidelines and recommendations made by staff must be followed at all times to ensure the safety of all. Parents agree to not send their child to class if they have been in contact within their own household of a confirmed case of Covid-19 within 14 days of class or are displaying any Covid 19 symptoms
