Students:
All information regarding Sara Jane Studios' policies, procedures, and intellectual property—including but not limited to class names, structures, choreography, and any professional knowledge passed between teachers and students—must remain confidential within the Sara Jane Studios community and not be shared externally.
Students must show respect for all members of the Sara Jane Studios community, including fellow students and staff.
Bullying in any form will not be tolerated and may result in removal from classes.
- Students are encouraged to support and uplift each other in a kind and positive manner.
- Students are expected to treat the studio facilities and equipment with care and respect.
- Students should regularly review and practice their class material at home, particularly in preparation for performances and concerts.
- Students are required to adhere to the dress code, including appropriate dance attire for safety and to maintain proper dance etiquette.
- Students acknowledge that physical contact may be necessary during dance instruction. Teachers are trained to use appropriate touch to aid in technique, with students having the right to request not to be touched, where feasible. For example, in acrobatics, spotting may be required for safety.
Teachers:
- Teachers are expected to foster a positive body image through their language and behavior.
- Teachers must respect the privacy of all students and families; personal or health-related information will only be shared with the owner, Sara Jane Collingridge, and relevant staff members.
- Teachers must be punctual, prepared, and professional for all scheduled classes.
- Teachers will create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all students to learn and grow.
- Teachers are expected to provide constructive feedback using positive, respectful language.
- Teachers will treat all students equally, regardless of talent or ability, and will work to support each student in their unique dance, acrobatic, or drama journey.

-Even if social media approval is declined, students may still be filmed for internal class content or rehearsal purposes, which will only be viewed by the teacher and fellow students.
General Studio Guidelines:
- No food or chewing gum is allowed during class for safety reasons.
- Lost property will be kept for the duration of the term, with notifications sent out to students for collection.
- All accidents and injuries, whether during class or within the premises, must be reported and will be kept on file.
- Although our teachers are highly trained in Safe Dance Practice, dancing is a high-impact activity, and injuries may occur. Sara Jane Studios is not liable for personal injuries or loss/damage of property.
