Dance Class Policies

1. Please arrive on time for class! We ask that you arrive no more than 5-10 minute before your class begins.

2. Please make sure your dancer uses the restroom BEFORE class starts!

3. If your child has anything we need to know about, please reach out!! We want to make sure everyone has a successful year of classes.

4. Please bring a water bottle with you! We have fountains for refills.

5. Please make sure your dancer’s hair is secured away from their face – ponytails, braids, buns, etc are welcome. Dancer’s can not wear their hair down to class unless they have specific permission.

6. I understand that when I sign my child up for dance class, this is a commitment to dance class. We want to create a positive environment for you and your dancer(s).

7. Dance Shoes
-All dance shoes are required by the second week of class. ALL DANCE SHOES SHOULD NEVER BE WORN OUTSIDE AND RESERVED ONLY FOR DANCE CLASSES!
-Ballet: ballet shoes (pink for feminine presenting dancers, black for masculine presenting dancers).
-Creative Movement: ballet shoes (pink for feminine presenting dancers, black for masculine presenting dancers).
-Hip Hop: clean, non-marking, black/white sneakers.
-Jazz: black jazz shoes.
-Modern: no shoes, barefoot.
-Tap: black tap shoes.

8. Dress Code
-Academy dancers- We ask that all dancers attending academy level classes wear tight fitted clothes to classes – leotards, tank tops, leggings, bike shorts, tights, etc.
-Recreational dancers- no formal dress code: any clothes your dancer can move freely in is great! However, a lot of our dancers will wear leotards/tights. We ask that you do not wear jeans or dresses without shorts under them.

9. Late pick up fines
-First or second offense: 5-10 minutes late = $5 fine, 10-20 minutes late = $10 fine, 20 minutes late = $20 fine and removal from program will be discussed.
-Third offense: see above + removal from program will be discussed.
-All fees will be added to your account.

10. Cause for removal
-late pick-up (see pick-up policy above)
-disruptive behavior
-disrespect toward staff, facility, volunteers, building/spaces, etc.
-unpaid tuition or financial aid
