Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 Dance Season at Lukas Dance Studio!
Our first week of classes begins on Monday September 11th through Saturday September 16th.
2023 - 2024 INFORMATION PACKET
Attached you will find information regarding studio policies, dress code, payment information, dancestudiopro, the end of season recital, and more.

Students and/or parents/guardians must agree to the studio policies upon registration.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
September 11th - September 16th the first week of classes. 
June 17th - June 22nd the last week of classes.

Recital Date and Rehearsal dates are TBD for early June 2024
Dates the Studio Will be Closed
November 22nd - 24th, December 24th - January 1st
During the winter months when the weather can be unsafe, you will be notified by studio staff via email if classes will be canceled that day. 
Notifications regarding class cancellations will be posted on social media as well.
 A make-up date will be determined following the cancellation of a class due to weather.


Payment
Classes are charged at the beginning of every month.
 Payment is due by the 15th of each month.
 Your bill will be sent to you monthly via email with your current balance. Acceptable payment methods include cash, check, visa, mastercard, american express, discover card, and apple pay.
 You can pay at the studio in person or online via your emailed invoice. 
Payment is the same every month regardless of how many weeks of class are in each month.

Attendance Policy
There are no refunds for missed classes.
 There are no make up classes for a missed class.
 Attendance will be taken.
 Dancers are encouraged to attend all of their classes so that they will be performing to the best of their ability by the end of each season.
 If your child is sick the day of class please keep them home for health and safety reasons.
 Private lessons can be scheduled for an extra fee for a child to get more time one-on-one with an instructor.

Waivers
All participants at Lukas Dance Studio LLC must sign the waiver form in order to be eligible to participate in class.

Personal Property
Any personal possessions brought into the studio are the responsibility of their owner. It is recommended that you do not bring personal items of high value that can be easily damaged.

Dance Floor Rules
Street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor, please remove your shoes before stepping onto the dance floor.

No hoop earrings or long necklaces on dancers.

No touching the mirrors.

No playing on the ballet barres. 

No running in the studio unless choreographed to do so.

No unsupervised tricks in the studio, please get permission from the instructor before performing any tricks.

Adult Dance Fitness Participants
Any adult registering for the adult dance fitness program understands this class is a moderate cardio workout and agrees they are in good health and do not need medical clearance before participating in this class. Any adult with health complications including cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, asthma, joint issues, or other medical concerns should consult their physician before participating in this class. 
Remember to keep hydrated!
 Please communicate any physical aches, pains, or other ailments to the instructor.

OTHER INFORMATION


Media Permissions
Lukas Dance Studio uses lukasdance.com, instagram (@lukasdancestudio), and facebook (Lukas Dance Studio) to share studio related posts.
 We will take photos at the studio for special events, class updates, holiday fun, etc. to post on social media or our website. 
When completing the new student registration form for yourself or your child you may choose to allow the studio to use your/their image while participating in dance classes, or other studio sponsored events by signing your initials on the registration form next to the line that says “I/we give media use rights permission”. If you do not want your/their image to be used by the studio do not sign your initials next to this line.


Recital
Dancers in the combination classes, and tap classes will participate in the end of year recital.
 There will be a rehearsal scheduled ahead of the recital.
 Additional expenses for the recital include costumes, and tickets for the event. Classes will begin learning their recital routines as early as February 2024. Measurements will need to be taken for dance costumes in the winter of 2024. 
Recital date/time and location will be set ASAP. 
You will be notified when a location and date is set!

Dance Studio Pro
We use the dancestudiopro software for our classes. You can sign up for the program via https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/lukasdancestudio
Once you have created an account you will be able to register for classes online, view your statements, check for important studio information, access class files including videos, update your student’s information, and more.
Dance Studio Pro has also released an app for the portal.

Additional Information
Any class with less than 3 students registered in it will be canceled, moved to another time, or combined with another class.
Please be prepared, this is a physical activity. Dance classes require focus, stamina, and can be physically challenging.
Bring water to stay hydrated.
Any participant with medical conditions that could be affected by dance classes should consult their doctor before taking class.
