Tuition

Enrollment fee must be paid at the time of enrollment. Tuition can either be monthly or seasonal. Keep in mind, you will be saving money by choosing the seasonal payment plan.

- Monthly payments must be made by the first week of the month

- Seasonal payment can be made in 2 parts; First half must be paid the first of week of the season and the remaining by mid-season.

*If you are unable to make your payment, please contact our Studio Manager to make other payment plan. we have three season Fall, Winter and Summer.

Late Fees

There will be a late fee of $10 for ALL late tuition payments. The fee will increase of $10 for each week the payment is not met. If payment is not met after a set date, student will have to sit out of class.

Attendance

Students must do their best to attend all classes as practice makes perfect. Students are also thought a choreography at the second half of the class over the course of the season. By missing classes, a student will be left behind and as a result will not be able to perform at our end of season show. Missing classes can also affect class creativity if one is selected for a key position in a choreography.

Students must arrive on time to class as teachers won't wait for students and may not repeat prior knowledge already taught. After 15 minutes late, student will be asked to warm up in the corner and will be able to join the class for the second half.

Students must notify the Studio Manager in case of absences and tardiness.

Attire

Students must wear appropriate dance wear at all time according to their class of choice. At no time may a student wear jean to class. Proper Dance Attire and Shoes are MANDATORY for safety and the overall well-being of the student’s dance education. An instructor reserves the right to dismiss a student from class after one warning.

Ballet /Kids (Pink Leotard, tights and ballet slippers)

Ballet/ Adult (Black Leotard, tights and ballet slippers)

African/ Haitian Folklore (Leotard, tights or shorts with scarf)

Hip Hop (Sweat pants, leggings, shorts & Hip Hop Sneakers)

Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

*Failure to wear the appropriate dance wear will resume to student not participating in class

Code of Conduct

DANCERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AT CLASS ON TIME AND PREPARED IN PROPER DANCE ATTIRE (SEE DANCE ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS). INSTRUCTORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISMISS ANY DANCER FROM CLASS WHOSE ATTITUDES ARE UNSATISFACTORY. HERE AT THE DANCE HAVEN, WE PROMOTE ALL DANCERS TO TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT, SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT.

Waiting Area

Our waiting area is for first time visitors and for customers. Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their child. Parents are not allowed to remain in the studio unless they are also students.

Students are NOT allowed to bring food in the waiting area and the dancing area. The studio is equipped with a microwave and water-cooler. Students may use the back room on their break time.

Pick-Up and Drop Off

We are encouraging parents to drop off and pick up their child on time. If parents are late after the last class of the night, parents will be charge $1 per minute to pay for the Studio Manager to stay and supervise your child. The charge will be added to your bill.

Make-up class Policy

If a student missed a class, please contact the Studio Manager to sign up for the make-up class day taught once a month. If Studio cancelled a class, a make-up will be announced.

Recital

Students must confirm their participation in Spring recital by beginning of January. The first deposit for the recital will be due mid-February and the final payment to be met by the first week of May. the recital fee includes (Costume, photo, video, tickets etc...)

Performances

Students must sign up for performances opportunities and respect that engagement by not bailing out last minute or missing rehearsals.

Performance permission slips will be sent to parents ahead of time and must be signed in order for student to participate.

Teachers and choreographers reserve the right to remove dancer from a specific performance, to re-positioning dancers and to select dancers for a specific performance. Dancers must earn their spot every day at the studio as no one's spot is guaranteed.

Insurance

KS DANCE STUDIO DOES NOT CARRY MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR ITS STUDENTS. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policies.

Studio Communication

At the time of enrollment, all students and parents should sign up to our communication system (What’s-app). For snow days and class cancellation, you will receive an alert from the studio.

The same system will also be used to send notification about performances, recitals and class specifics. Emails will also be sent.
