The School’s Responsibility to you

1. All teachers at the dance school have PVG checks (protecting vulnerable groups)
2. All teachers have a degree in dance and or teaching qualifications.
3.All teachers do regular first aid courses and are up to date with these.
4. All teachers will perform first aid should the need arise and or call the emergency services if deemed necessary, we shall contact you at the same time.
5. All teachers have a duty of care to the pupils whilst in our care and all children will be treated with respect, we will always have your chid’s best interest in any of our decisions that we make regarding your child.
6. Teachers are only responsible for the pupils in class time in the dance studio/halls.
7. should a child have an accident in class we will call the parent first and if needed we shall call for medical assistance.
8.Teachers will know what to do in the event of a fire or emergency. In the event of a fire teachers will take the pupils to designated area, in Cragiockhart we shall take the pupils out the fire exit, under the egg and onto the car park. In Fairmilehead we shall take the pupils to the front of the church on the lawn, in Colinton we shall take the pupils to the front garden, in Heritage Grange we shall take the pupils to the flats opposite the building.
