Terms & conditions:

Valid from 1st January 2023

1. Registration fee: A yearly registration fee of $35.00 per student, or a maximum of $60.00 per same family is applicable. This only includes direct siblings from the same parents, not extended family. This fee is payable at the time of registration and is non-refundable.

2. Fees: All fees will be invoiced once a term. Customers can select to pay this amount in full by Week 2 of Term, or pay via Direct Debit in 4 fortnightly instalments to be completed by Week 8 of term. If customers do not select the Direct Debit option, Fees are due to be paid IN FULL by Week 3 of each term. If fees are not paid before the deadline, an administration fee of $10 may be added at the discretion of Parkes Dance Co. The dancers will not be allowed to participate in classes until all fees are paid. Term fee payment will be pro-rata only for new dancers starting mid-term, not existing students.


3. Private Lessons are strictly payable in advance and are not included in any caps or discounts. Any unused term fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable as a spot has been reserved for your child in the chosen class/classes. All fees include GST. Fees can be paid either by Cash, Cheque, Online Bank transfer, Eftpos, and Credit Card. Fees that are not paid within 5 weeks of the deadline each term, will be pursed legally by a debt collector with ALL associated fees and costs being paid by the customer. In the case of separated parents who pay half of the fees each, it is not the responsibility of Parkes Dance Co to chase both parties for fees. It is the sole responsibility of the parent listed as the primary contact to ensure fees are paid in full. Any arrangements between parents are to happen privately and are not the responsibility of Parkes Dance Co.

4. Direct Debit: This must be set up before dance commences for the term. If participating in direct debit, you agree to allow Parkes Dance Co debit the fortnightly instalments from your chosen card/account. If there is a failed payment, a dishonour fee of $10 will be charged, and the direct debit will be run again within the next 7 days. If the card or account is expired, it is your responsibility to provide us with the correct details for these payments. Non-payments will result in your dancer being unable to participate in classes.

5. Refunds: Term Fees – a 50% refund will be granted prior to Week 4 of term. Please note: fees are not refundable after week 4. Shoe, stocking and uniform orders: once paid, these payments are non refundable. When full payment is made of a product, the payer is entitled to the product bought, if ceasing enrolment.

6. Costumes: A Costume deposit fee will be invoiced with Term 1, 2 and 3 fees. This deposit fee will cover the whole price of dance costumes at end of year concert and is non-refundable.

7. Trial Classes: Dancers are permitted to one trial class prior to enrolment per style. This class will be participated in, not watched by parent and student. Parents will not be permitted to stay and watch the class. Upon enrolment, the trial class and all following lessons of that class will be added their invoice. If the dancer chooses not to continue after the trial class, no charge for that class will be incurred.

8. Holidays: Classes will not be held on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, Queens Birthday or the Tuesday afternoon of the Parkes Show. These classes will not be billed to your account, as classes will not be held on these days. Dance will be held on all other public holidays during the Dance Terms.

9. Non-attendance: Students that are absent from classes, rehearsals or performances due to illness or any other reasons must notify the studio of their nonattendance. Fees remain payable for non-attendance to class/classes. If a student ceases classes, they must inform the studio immediately, as fees remain payable until the studio is notified of cessation of enrolment.

10. Uniform: All enrolled dancers are required to wear their specific class/style hair, uniform and shoes to class. Parkes Dance Co’s dance shop stocks all uniform and shoe requirements. Parkes Dance Co reserves the right to not allow a student to participate in a class if their attire or hair is inappropriate or dangerous for the class.

11. The movement of children from parental supervision to Parkes Dance Co staff supervision is the most vulnerable and requires the utmost care by all parties. No child should be left without the parent being satisfied that their child is in class and under the care of Parkes Dance Co staff nor should any child be encouraged to leave care without supervision. No students under the age of 16 are allowed to go outside or leave the facility without a parent or guardian unless written permission is given. Students are encouraged to wait inside with building with the reception staff or teaching staff until they are picked up. Parkes Dance Co is not liable or responsible for children if they are not inside the premises. We bear no responsibility or liability for how children get to and from the studio.


12. As Parkes Dance Co is not a licensed child minding facility we are unable to ‘mind’ other children not attending or trailing our classes. Friends and family are not permitted to watch classes.

13. All questions are to be directed to the front desk during office hours and not to teachers during a class.

14. Any complaints relating to Parkes Dance Co must be submitted in writing to Parkes Dance Co. All complaints must be identified with relevant contact details. All complaints received, as outlined, will be addressed accordingly. Please allow up to seven days for a reply from Parkes Dance Co and another 7 days upon that for a meeting to address complaint and find a solution.

15. Parents are responsible for maintaining up to date contact details. It is the parent’s responsibility to be up to date with the information sent out via email, notes given to students and facebook posts in the group and page. Parkes Dance Co is not responsible for students missing events or rehearsals due to customers not reading the emails, texts, notes or facebook posts that may be sent out prior to the event.

16. Parkes Dance Co reserves the right to disallow or discontinue a dancer’s enrolment at their own discretion.

17. We do not allow parents to watch classes or rehearsals. This is in order to maintain the dancers concentration and focus. Exceptions may be made at the teacher’s discretion for some dancers. We ask that all watchers respect the students and not talk or cause distraction.

18. Events & Concert. Students and parents will receive information throughout the year about performances, classes and events. Parents and students are expected to follow the rules and procedures set out for each event. These rules and procedures are put in place to ensure the safety of the students and help with the running of the event. If a parent or student refuses to follow the rules, Parkes Dance Co reserves the right to ask the parent and student to not attend the event. Refunds will not be given for any tickets, costumes or classes that are voided by this. All students must be on their best behaviour when attending performances. They will arrive 30 minutes prior to the performances in their uniform or costumes with hair and make up done. Any misconduct by the student or family will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from that class or from the whole studio. This decision will be made at the discretion of Parkes Dance Co staff.

19. Photos and Videos: The dancer may be photographed or filmed for promotional or advertising purposes. This may include but not limited to photos on our FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM and TIK TOK page and website, local newspaper articles and promotional posters or handouts, etc. If there is an objection to this, please notify staff immediately.

20. Contact: Students and parents are not to contact teachers on their person phones or social media sites. Should you wish to talk to the teacher please organise an appointment. If you need to contact a teacher, please ring Jessica (owner) on 0434 589 271 during business hours.

21. Choreography: To preserve the intellectual property of our creative teachers, all choreography for eisteddfods soloists, group dances, annual productions and alike taught by Parkes Dance Co teachers and contract teachers remains the property of Parkes Dance Co and may not be used without the permission of Parkes Dance Co and/or its teachers. This includes participation in talent quests, community performances and eisteddfods. Students of Parkes Dance Co are not permitted to copy, or duplicate any part or whole of Parkes Dance Co choreography or themes of choreography.

22. All helpers, teachers and assistants over the age of 18 are required to provide a working with children check to Parkes Dance Co before they are permitted into the dance studios.

23. In the event of an evacuation, Parkes Dance Co staff will have guidelines to follow to ensure the safety of dancers.

24. Parkes Dance Co has a first aid kit on site, however in the event of a medical emergency, a dancers parent/s or guardian will be contacted for the child to be picked up or permission asked to take the child to the nearest medical centre. In the event of a serious emergency an ambulance will be called. If we cannot immediately get in contact with the dancer’s parent/guardian for consent, an ambulance will be called to attend to the dancer. Parkes Dance Co is not liable for any fees associated with this. It is the parents responsibility to inform Parkes Dance Co staff of any medical or other conditions of the dancer/s that can impact their dance experience. Dance Risk Assessment PARKES DANCE CO staff takes the utmost care to provide a safe dance experience. Unfortunately hazards exist in all activities and parents should be aware of the hazards that exist. Please note: the nature of dance occasionally requires student-teacher contact for the purposes of placement and correction of technique.

25. Parkes Dance Co does not accept responsibility for any damaged or stolen property.


Terms and Conditions Contract

1. I agree to respect and comply with the decisions of the staff of Parkes Dance Co make in regards to participation in classes, and performance events.

2. I agree that myself, my family and dancer will treat the staff of Parkes Dance Co and other students and parents of Parkes Dance Co politely and with respect. I understand that offensive language, threats, and any action or language to intimidate, bully or harass staff or other students will result in immediate expulsion from Parkes Dance Co.

3. I agree that my student will not attend any other dance school whilst enrolled at Parkes Dance Co.

4. I agree to my child to be photographed or have video footage taken of my child and allow Parkes Dance Co to use the photos or videos in advertising and on social media.

5. I understand that Fees and costume payments will be paid by Week 2 of each term in order for my child to participate in classes after week 3 and in our end of year concert. If fees are paid late repeatedly, I understand that my enrolment may not be accepted next year.

6. I understand that I will be unable to re enrol next year if my fees are unpaid by then end of the year.

7. I understand that if myself or my or student refuses to follow the rules given out for events with Parkes Dance Co, they reserve the right to ask the parent and student to not attend the event. I understand that I will not receive refunds for any tickets, costumes or entry fees associated with the event.

8. I will exercise extreme caution when entering and exiting the building for traffic. I agree to not double park, park unsafely or ask my child to cross with road without an adult. It is my responsibility to ensure that my child safely enters the studio and is picked up from the studio at the end of class. Parkes Dance Co is not liable for anything that happens outside the building.

9. I understand that each dancer participates at their own risk therefore no responsibility will be placed upon the teacher or studio should my child sustain any injuries during the course of any class, rehearsal or performance. Parkes Dance Co is not responsible for any costs associated with injury or illness sustained in class, performances, events or rehearsals.

10. I understand that fees are due by Week 2 of each term. I understand that if fees are not paid before the deadline, ALL discounts will be removed and my dancer(s) will not be allowed to participate in classes until all fees are paid. I understand that fees that if are not paid within 8 weeks of the deadline each term, this will be pursed legally by a debt collector with ALL associated fees and costs being paid by the customer on the account.

11. I understand that if Parkes Dance Co is required by law to stop in person classes due to health regulations or restrictions, all classes will be moved onto an online learning platform for the remainder of the term. No term fees will be refunded for online classes or alternative learning.

12. I understand and agree that my enrolment is subject to all Health regulations that may be in place at time of enrolment and also during 2023 enrolment year as outlined by the Australian Government. This is including and not limited to mask wearing mandates or vaccination requirements that may come into effect.

12. I understand that Parkes Dance Co accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items.

13. I agree to all the terms and conditions.
