Competition:

The competition team is a group of students that are hard-working and dedicated to their sport.
Competition requirements are as follows: dependable, reliable, ready to put forth the effort, hard working, committed, love what they do and most importantly a great sport. It may be required that you try out or audition for the competition team. However, The Works Dance Company is available to help you prepare before you audition. All students will make the team and our choreographers will place each dancer, etc. where we feel that student should be placed as far as their talent, skill level and learning ability.
Our competitions may be in or out of state. All participants are required to pay all competition fees. If for some reason you are unable to participate in the competition you will not be issued a refund. Therefore, we ask that you do not register for any competitions you feel you will not be able to attend. Costume fees are due by Mar1st unless otherwise posted.
Competition costs may include: competition entry fees, competing fees, costumes, Comp Warm up, accessories, makeup, shoes, travel, hotel, food, etc.
When choreographing, we choreograph specifically to our students and the number of students that we have registered for the class. Therefore, we count on your attendance. Students are allowed one absence Per month. If a student misses more than that and does not provide sufficient proof or reasoning of absence the student may miss out on competition opportunities regardless of whether they are paid for or not. The Works Dance Company LLC won’t be held responsible and will not refund or taking a student out of a competition due to their absences. If you are going to miss practice please make sure to notify us ASAP. If additional rehearsals are needed you will not be charged extra.

Competition season is typically from January-September. Therefore our contracts for the competition season are for one year. Your contract is binding from the date of signing until one year prior to that date. You may cancel at any time however; there will be a $150 cancellation fee plus the remainder of the tuition owed depending on the date of your cancellation. Any exceptions may be determined otherwise by Kenzie W. Crouse. (Showing proof of incident and/or reasoning)
All dances that are choreographed by our choreographers belong to The Works Dance Company LLC. Our choreography is not to be performed outside of our company at any other functions, competitions, companies etc. unless authorized by Kenzie W. Crouse. All routines will be choreographed from 1 min-5 min. Depending upon age, capability and number of students. I understand and agree to the above statements.

Recital:

Our recital squad needs to be a group of students that are dedicated, reliable, hard-working, enjoy what they do and above all be a great sport.

Fees and tuition:

Monthly tuition is to be paid the 1st through the 10th of every month. Unless otherwise notified. If payments are not made by the 11th of the month a $10 late fee will be added to your account every week until your payment is met.
Cancellation fee is $200t/ he remainder of tuition for the season.
There will be a $30 return fee for all bounced or returned checks. If any/all payments, late fees, cancellation fees, etc. are not met, debit collectors and/or legal action may be taken. Upon registering there is a $______ registration fee. When you register if there are any discounts that were applied to your account that will be your remaining monthly total until your contract is void unless otherwise notified. Please note that your contract is private and that your tuition, discounts and any other discussions about finances are between the legal parent/guardian and The Works Dance Company LLC. Instructors may be individually contracted And may be paid directly. As listed above, you will be responsible for costumes, accessories, shoes, make up, etc. Understand that you will not be reimbursed or refunded. If an instructor has to cancel a class, we will offer a makeup or bring in a sub. If for any reason you feel you need to reduce your classes please speak with the owner.
The Works Dance Company has a right to refuse any/ all services if we feel it is necessary. Especially, in cases of safety, inappropriate behavior, lack of payment, destruction, etc.( If destruction to The Works Dance Company property should happen, participant must pay damages in full.)
However; We will not deny service to, or otherwise discriminate against any person on the basis of race, sexual orientation, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, physical or mental handicap, marital status, or because such person is a recipient of federal, state, or local public assistance, or a United States military veteran.

We have a right to change our payment methods at any time. As a new and growing company our payment methods will more than likely change over time. When you register you will be given all of the options for payments. If anything changes are being made you will be notified a month (30 days) in advance.
Please note that lack of class participation doesn’t excuse your tuition or any fees that may have accumulated.

Sponsors, Donations and Fundraising are great ways to help with funds. We will offer some of these options throughout the season and if you would like to participate your welcome to. It isn’t mandatory.

Music and choreography:
We are a Christian organization and we may play Christian music for our dance routines. This is not always the case. We play a variety of different songs, styles and remixes. We make sure that our music is always clean and appropriate for the age group.
Our movements, choreography and styles are also clean and appropriate for the age group.

Dress Code:
All students are to wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that moves with your body. Please make sure that all students are modestly and appropriately dressed. All hair needs to be pulled up out of the eyes and face.
Example: sports bra, t-shirt and leggings. (Athletic wear or dance wear)
Shoes: we are completely okay with you starting out without proper dance shoes. We understand that they are expensive and we can work our way there so to start out please wear socks with tennis shoes. Please bring a water bottle.

Discipline: we believe in letting you know how we plan to handle things before they happen and we need your support. If a child is misbehaving, bullying, disobeying, yelling, etc. we take steps to insure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Step 1: Politely and quickly correct the action/behavior and ask for it to not be repeated.
Step 2: If the action/behavior is continued we bring them a side and have a conversation about why they are still repeating this action and ask them not to repeat it again.
Step 3: If it continues we will have them do conditioning. Jumping jacks, push-ups, etc.
Step 4: If continued the student will sit out and won’t continue participating in the class.
Step 5: If the behavior is still continuing we will have a conversation with the parent/guardian.
Step 6: If continued we will have the parent/guardian sit in the class.

Dropping off and picking up:
As our studio grows, we want your drop off and pick up to be safe, comfortable and easy. We ask that when dropping off you make sure the child(ren) make it inside the studio safely and when picking up (please give us a list below of people that are allowed to pick up your child(ren)).
In order to pickup your name must be on our list and an ID must be shown as proof that you are who you say you are. The students can not be released to anyone that isn’t on our list. If someone that is not on the list must pick up please notify The Works before hand.

By giving permission for the above child(ren) to participate in The Works Dance Company LLC classes, special events, or other included activities; I acknowledge the fact that participation in dance, Cheer, tumbling , fitness, etc. involve a certain degree of RISK ranging from minor to catastrophic in nature, including paralysis and even death. In the event of an accident or illness, I authorize any The Works Dance Company LLC staff member to take the necessary steps regarding emergency treatment for the undersigned participant, including first aid, and calling of ambulance service or transportation to the hospital.I further authorize the hospital facility and staff to treat the undersigned participant for any injury or illness he/she has. It is understood that a conscientious effort will be made to locate one or both parents/legal guardians before any action will be taken, but if it is not possible to locate either parent/legal guardian, medical expenses will be accepted and paid for by the participant’s parent(s). We understand that The Works Dance Company LLC does NOT provide insurance for the student and will not pay any expenses incurred by the student.

It is the intention of the undersigned participant by this document to relieve The Works Dance Company LLC and its owners or any of its officers, agents, volunteers, servants, or employees from any responsibility from personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death whether caused by negligence, carelessness, or otherwise, of the persons or entities mentioned above.We the undersigned understand that Parent/Legal Guardian and Participant assume all risks inherent in The Works Dance Company's’ activities whether known or unknown, and that by signing this document the undersigned parent/legal guardian and participant are giving up their right to sue The Works Dance Company LLC and/or its owners, whether caused by negligence of said persons or entities.The undersigned voluntarily signs their names evidencing their acceptance of the above provisions and further agree that no oral representations, statements, or inducements apart from this agreement have been made.
Due to covid we are taking as many cautions as we possibly can. We offer online and in person classes. If you come in person, you might be asking to wear a mask or social distance depending on government restrictions. Otherwise, we may take your temperature, ask you to keep your hands clean and if you have to cough or sneeze do it in a tissue, your arm, etc. We ask that no food or drinks be shared so that we don’t spread germs. If you aren’t feeling well or are sick we ask that you stay home. If you come in with a fever of 99.5 F or higher you may be sent home. If a student were to test positive for covid we would shut down the studio for two weeks (or as recommended) to deep clean. We then would require the student(s) that tested positive to stay home until they receive a negative covid test. If I, you, my child, other students, staff, owners, volunteers, family members, friends etc. contract Covid-19 or any other sickness, I agree to hold The Works Dance Company LLC, studio owners, staff, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, harmless.
The undersigned hereby grants The Works Dance Company all ownership rights and absolute right and permission to take, copyright, use, and publish photos and video footage of my child on any and/ or all social media networks and platforms.
Parking: Please park where it is legally available. The Works Dance Company LLC isn’t responsible if your property or vehicle is damaged or towed. Please make sure each student makes it safely in and out of our studio.

The undersigned Participant and/or Parent/ Legal Guardian, voluntarily makes and grants this Waiver and Assumption of Risk in favor of The Works Dance Company LLC as partial consideration (in addition to monies paid to The Works Dance Company LLC ) for the opportunity of the Participant to use the facilities , equipment, materials, and/or assets of The Works Dance Company LLC; and /or to receive assistance, training, guidance, tutelage, and/or instruction from the personnel of The Works Dance Company LLC, and/or to engage in the activities, events, travel, sports, festivities, and/or, gatherings sponsored by The Works Dance Company LLC; the undersigned Participant and Parent/Legal Guardian hereby waive and release any and all claims whether in contract or of personal injury, bodily injury, property damage, damages, losses, and/or death that may arise from the participant’s aforementioned use or receipt, as the Undersigned understand and recognize that there are certain risk, dangers, and perils connected with such use and/or receipt, which the Undersigned hereby acknowledge have been fully explained to me and which the Undersigned fully understand, and which the Undersigned nevertheless accept, assume, and undertake after injury and investigation of extent, duration, and completeness wholly satisfactory and acceptable to me.
The Undersigned agrees, for himself/herself, his/her family, his/her heirs, executors, administrators, and/or assigns, and voluntarily release, discharges, and promises not to sue The Works Dance Company LLC, or any of its owners, officers, agents, servants, volunteers, or employees for any and all claims for personal injury, property damages, or wrongful death occurring to himself/herself arising from engaging (receiving instruction) in dance or any activities incidental thereto wherever or however it may occur and for whether it is caused by the negligence or carelessness, or otherwise, of the persons or entities conducting or sponsoring the event.
On behalf of the participant and individually, the Undersigned Parent/Legal Guardian(s) for the minor Participant executes this Waiver. If, despite this release, the Participant makes a claim against The Works Dance Company LLC, the owner of, or any of their officers, agents, servants, or employees the Parent/Legal Guardian agrees that he/she: (1) will reimburse/indemnify The Works Dance Company LLC and its owners, or their insurance company for any money which they paid to the Participant; (2) will reimburse/indemnify them or their insurance company for any reasonable cost incurred, including attorney’s fees; and (3) will hold them harmless.
The minor Participant further agrees and promises to hold harmless and indemnify The Works Dance Company LLC and its owner or any of its officers, agents, servants, or employees from all deferred cost, including attorney’s fees, or from any other cost incurred in connection with claims for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death which the Participant may negligently or intentionally cause to other third parties in the course of participating in The Works Dance Company LLC activities.
If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance thereof shall continue in full legal force and effect.
It is the intention of the Undersigned and/or the agreed upon terms and conditions that the participant, by this document to relieve The Works Dance Company LLC, Kenzie Williams-Crouse or any of its officers, agents, servants, volunteers or employees from any responsibility from personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death whether caused by negligence, carelessness, or otherwise, of the persons or entities mentioned above.
We the Undersigned and/or agreed to terms understand that the Parent/Legal Guardian and Participant assume all risks inherent in The Works Dance Company LLC activities, whether known or unknown, and that by signing this document the Undersigned Parent/Legal Guardian and Participant are giving up their right to sue The Works Dance Company LLC and/or its owners, whether caused by negligence of said persons or entities.
The Undersigned and/ or agreed to terms voluntarily signs their names evidencing their acceptance of the above provisions and further agree that no oral representations, statements, or inducements apart from this agreement have been made.
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS DOCUMENT. I UNDERSTAND IT IS A RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS.
This Waiver and Assumption of Risk is effective beginning on the date signed below, or retroactively to the time the relationship between The Works Dance Company LLC and the student began, and may not be invoked, altered, rescinded or violated without the express prior written consent of Kenzie W. Crouse.
