Dress Code
Most dance teams and dance companies require an all black dress code along with leotards. I do not require this, but I do want you in athletic/ dance wear. This means no jean shorts/ pants, pajama pants, or anything you can't move in. A dancer should never have the excuse that their clothes are too tight/ small to dance in. In ballet class leotard, tights, and buns are not required for the first year, but are HIGHLY encouraged. Next year they will be required. Shoes are required for each dancer for certain classes (ballet shoes for ballet, Jazz shoes for jazz) again for the first year I will be more lenient, but dancers must have shoes BEFORE recital or they cannot perform.

Performance Opportunities
Each student will have the opportunity to perform at our end of year recital. All students will have at least one dance as well as a chance to bow in the finale. Dates for recital are TBA and will be announced soon. Dates should be announced sometime in August after the competition schedule has been released.

Financial Obligations
Along with monthly fees dancers must have a costume for each dance that they are in as well as a t-shirt for the finale number of recital. Tickets will go on sale a couple of weeks before the recital. Everyone attending will need a ticket (of course not dancers). Monthly fees all depend on the amount of classes that you are taking as well as how many dancers you have enrolled. OG pricing will also come into effect. If you have a question on your monthly payment please contact us.

Optional Expenses
Skin Tone Leotard (to wear under costumes)
A water bottle to bring to class
A dance bag to bring dance shoes in
Anything on the Studio code page

Transportation
Parents/ Guardians are responsible for getting dancers to classes, extra rehearsals, and shows as well as picking them up. Dancers should not use phones during practice, if a student needs to contact a parent that is always okay, just ask Miss.Madi first. If a student needs to use their phone just ask, the answer will most likely be yes so just ask. Parents are encouraged to leave the studio and pick up students later. Staying is never a problem, just remember that a class is going to and to keep your voices down. If you have left the studio and are 30 minutes late to pick up with no contact the police will be called as a precaution.

Food
I understand that practices can sometimes get long, but food is not allowed in the studio. Only water and gatorade is allowed inside of the studio. If your dancers have brought a snack it can stay in the studio IF it is sealed and unopened. To eat the snack dancers must eat in the hall or outside. Staying healthy and hydrated is always important, but we must do our best to keep the floors in the best condition that we can, which is why this rule is in place.

Studio Code
Studio code at 941 Dance Company is different then at other studios. This is not mandatory at all, but can get your dancer ready for their first day of class. For ballet this includes a black leotard dress for the children, a leotard in studio colors for older dancers as well as pink tights and optional skirt in either black or studio colors. For jazz and lyrical/ contemporary this includes a 941 Dance Company T-shirt. These items as well as shoes for all classes can be bought from 941 Dance Company to get your dancer ready for class. Ask for photos and pricing.

Studio Days off
Here at 941 Dance Company we go by the Manatee County school system. Meaning that federal holidays, breaks, and hurricane days that the schools are out for we are as well. The only expectation is hurricanes. If the schools cancel class due to the upcoming storm we will of course cancel class. Now, since the schools are also a shelter for the storm, schools can be closed for a week or two after the storm. As long as we have power, and an intact building, classes will resume ASAP. Always look to facebook, twitter, and instagram to see when classes resume. It will also be in your email that you provide.

Agreement
I agree to all that is stipulated in this contract. I recognize that if my child or I were to break any of these rules then my child could be taken out of the studio without a refund. By signing this page I will attend every practice that I physically can. I will be a team player and will work to be the best that we all can be. I also will provide transportation for my child to the studio as well as to the various shows that will be attending. If I and my child cannot complete the season for whatever reason I understand that I will not be receiving a refund for any paid dues.
