Policies and Procedures

Class Procedures
Please have your child arrive five minutes prior to class start time dressed in the proper
attire and shoes. Proper technical warm-ups are done at the beginning of class and are
vital to preventing injuries.

Observance
Parents are not to sit inside the classroom, unless given the okay from an instructor.
Instructors may invite the parents in at the very end of class every once in a while to
give the parents a quick show. This is up to the instructor’s discretion.

Before/After Class
Dancers are not to arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to class time. When one class
ends, another starts; teachers are not responsible for watching students once class has
dismissed. Please instruct your child to wait inside the studio for their rides and to
inform the office manager if their ride is late. Students are not permitted to wait outside
for rides.

Absences:
Missed classes are not refundable. Tuition is still due to hold the spot for your child.
There are no refunds if you drop a class(es) in the middle of the month, choose other
activities over dance class, or simply skip class. We request that a parent call or email
the studio to inform the teacher and staff of any absences, illness, or problem a student
might be having. If your child has a contagious illness or is injured, please keep them
out of class until they are recovered and can participate fully without risk or relapse or
re-injury. In case of serious injury, that would require students to miss a month or more
of class, tuition might be waived (this is determined by Danielle’s Dance Academy, LLC
staff on a case-by-case basis).

Class Cancellation:
Danielle’s Dance Academy, LLC reserves the right to combine classes, change times,
provide substitute teachers or replacement teachers, and cancel or combine any class
with 6 or less students. These decisions will be made by the director.

Dropping/Adding Classes
If a student would like to add a class after they are already enrolled, they may do so
before November 1, 2023. Any extra tuition associated with the class will be due upon
the addition of the class to their schedule, but will be prorated if it is in the middle of the
month. Since dance fees are charged on a month-to-month basis you may drop out of a
class at any time. If you have paid a month’s fee and drop during the beginning or
middle of the month you will not receive a refund. You may however, finish the rest of
the month and drop at the end of that particular month. If you drop classes in the middle
of the month and have not paid for that particular month you will be billed at your normal
monthly rate for the entire month. To ensure that you do not get billed after you have
dropped a class, please inform us in writing so that we may remove you from that class
list and our billing records. REMEMBER, UNTIL WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED IN
WRITING THAT YOU ARE DROPPING A CLASS, WE ARE STILL SAVING YOUR
CHILD A SPACE IN THE CLASS AND WILL BILL YOU ACCORDINGLY. If you are reenrolling
in the same season, after having dropped all classes from the studio, there will
be a re-enrollment fee of $15.
TUITION AND FEES (All tuition and dance fees are non-refundable.)

Recital Fees:
The “Recital Fee” is $75 PER STUDENT AND $90.00 PER FAMILY. This amount is due
on January 25, 2024. This fee covers the auditorium rental and other associated costs.

Costume Fees:
Costume fees are Due October 19th. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Registration Fees:
One Student: $35 per year
Two or more students from the same family: $65.00 per year

Monthly Tuition Fees:
Two or more from same family get a $5 discount on total monthly tuition. Monthly
Tuition Fees are DUE ON THE 1ST OF THE MONTH. MONTHLY FEES REMAIN THE
SAME REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF LESSONS TAUGHT WITHIN A MONTH
DUE TO HOLIDAYS OR REGARDLESS OF CHILD’S ABSENCES.

LATE FEES/RETURNED CHECK FEES:
A late fee of $10 will be assessed for tuition payments received after the 10th of the
month – NO EXCEPTIONS. On the 11th, we will add the fee. A $15 return check fee
will be added onto all insufficient fund checks. There are no refunds for missed classes.
Payments can be made in online, cash, check, or money order.

Parent Consent Form
____ Payment of tuition is DUE ON THE 1st OF THE MONTH. Payment of tuition
secures enrollment for your child in class.
____ You have until the 10th of each month to pay tuition. On the 11th, we will add a
$10 late fee to your account.
____ TUITION REMAINS THE SAME EACH MONTH REGARDLESS OF WHETHER
IT IS A 5-WEEK MONTH OR A SHORTENED MONTH DUE TO HOLIDAYS.
Tuition is not pro-rated, refunded or credited for missed classes or holidays.
____ If your child is absent due to any reason: illness, vacation, or other activities,
payment is STILL due by the 10th to continue to hold the spot in class for your
child. There are NO REFUNDS for missed classes.
____ Although exposure to Covid -19 is unlikely because safety measures have been
put into place, I accept all the risk and consent for my child to participate in DDA
activities and understand that DDA cannot be held liable for any exposure to the
virus.
____ If your child is no longer taking classes, you must submit notification in writing to
us indicating this before the start of the next month.
____ A $15 return check fee will be added on all insufficient fund checks.
If you are not able to pay Online, you may pay in person, or mail your tuition to
P O Box 191, Paulina, La 70763.
____ All accounts must be completely paid off by April 10, 2024 for dancers to be able
to participate in the end-of-the-year recital.
____ PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: By initialing here, I give permission for photographs/
videos of my child in dance class or performances to be used in promotional
material for Danielle’s Dance Academy, LLC in both print and web publications.
