Dance Agreement
2024-2025
Early Bird Registration Fee $45 per dancer May 13th - June 1st. Registration fee $ 50 June 1st- September 30th. A discount of $5 per sibling is available. Registration is Non-Refundable
Placement:
Placement classes are required for all dancers 1st grade and above. Placement in an Elite Dance Company is based on the following criteria: technique, potential, commitment level, enthusiasm, attitude and behavior in class, attendance and stage presence. We place students together in groups that we feel will work best together in rehearsals and performances, not based on friends, carpool etc. All decisions are up to the staff at Encore Dance.
Class placement, times and tentative schedules will be sent out after Memorial Day.
BootCamp will mark the beginning of our season and is mandatory for all Company Dancers in Mini Elite Company or above. The cost for boot camp is $65 per dancer and will include a company tank/leotard. Aug. 19th - 22nd 2024
Commitment:
A dance company is a team. Just as sports teams require all players to attend practices, dance companies require their dancers to attend all classes and rehearsals. Absences will not only affect the individual dancer, but the Company as a whole.
Punctuality is just as important as attendance, please be on time and prepared for class.
Company members must be present in ALL their classes and rehearsals the week prior to every performance and competition. Being a member of a dance company is a privilege and comes with responsibility. Personal accountability is essential for a successful season, and commitment to your other company members is a vital component of this success. When a member of the company is not present, it negatively impacts your entire team. Please do not consider being a part of Encore Dance Company if missing class for non-emergencies is going to be an issue, or if you expect scheduling conflicts with other sports or activities.
DANCERS DROPPING OUT AFTER NOVEMBER 1ST IS NOT REFUNDABLE.
Competitions and Performances:
Encore Dance Company will attend 1-4 competitions/conventions throughout the dance season. Please be aware that becoming a company member will obligate you to these competitions and conventions. All competitions are held on weekends/weekdays and are a full day and possibly full weekend commitment. Competition management does not send the performance day and time to the studio until 5-7 days prior to the event. Dancers and parents will need to be available for the entire weekend until we know whether you are performing Friday, Saturday or both. Dancers are required to be to all awards ceremonies.
There are also occasions when our teams are asked to perform at local events. These events are fun, educational and great team building experiences.
Dates for all performances will be given as soon as they are made available to our staff.
Extra rehearsals may be called approaching a performance or competition. Extra rehearsals will be held on Saturdays or at other times that the studio’s schedule permits. Students and parents will be notified of any additional rehearsals at least one week prior to the date. We will make our best efforts to schedule additional rehearsals well in advance. The Year End Concert is mandatory and scheduled for May 3rd, 2025, with dress rehearsal May 2nd.
Courtesy & Respect:
All Company members will be held to the highest standards of conduct. Communicating negatively about anyone in or outside our studio will not be tolerated. Company members are expected to show courtesy and respect to all instructors and other students. Any student who exhibits repeated negative or disrespectful behavior will be asked to leave the Company. Encore dancers and their families are always respectful, supportive, encouraging and are positive in spirit, attitude and behavior.
Dress Code:
All Dance Company members must wear appropriate dancewear to every class. Forgetting dancewear, shoes, proper hair and/or wearing inappropriate clothing is not acceptable. The dress code for the Encore Elite Company classes are as follows:
Ballet: Pink tights and a leotard. Ballet shoes and hair secured back in a bun.
Other classes: Appropriate dance attire may include leotard, tights, appropriate shoes, and jazz pants or form-fitting shorts. Hair must be securely pulled up for every class. Jewelry is not permitted while in class.
It is mandatory that all company members have Elite warm-ups Warmups cost approx. $90 (jacket w/dancers name). Dancers must wear their warm-ups upon arrival and when leaving all competitions, conventions and performances.
Appropriate shoes can be ordered through the studio, pricing is available upon ordering.
Financial Commitment:
All tuition for Company Dancers is billed on the 1st of each month. Any dancer having a balance on the 10th of the month will be charged a $15 late fee. All balances are due in full each month. After registration all online payments will be made through DSP Merchant and incur a convenience fee.

All Costume and competition fees will be billed with registration and must be paid in full by November 1st to avoid any late fees. After Registration You can pay through the Parent Portal DSP or Check/cash at the studio.

*Requirements for Premiere Company Membership: Solo Choreography Fees, Solo Competitions fees, Nutcracker, Bootcamp, Pointe, All Dance shoes and revolution tights (pointe shoes, Turners, ballet shoes, tap shoes as needed, jazz shoes as needed, sneakers for hip hop as needed), Class photos. (Class photos may include introducing the team, year end program, and year end pictures) **These fees are subject to change depending on competitions, choreographers, retailer and photographer prices. Please check your statements for this years fees.
Please note that sibling discounts will be $5 per month for each additional dancer. Pointe and Boot Camp are not eligible for discounts.
*Teen and Elite companies may incur an outside choreography charge billed during the year.
Dancers with an account balance may not be eligible for performances, and costumes may be withheld at the discretion of the Encore Staff.
Accounts that retain a balance after June 1, 2025, will be reviewed and may be sent for professional collections, at the discretion of the Encore Staff.
Dancers will not be eligible for registration in Encore Dance Company until their account balance has been satisfied.
Those who are involved in solos/duos/trios must attend summer ballet, summer leaps & turns, Castle Valley Civic Ballet's Nutcracker, and are in 1st grade or older. Participants are invited to perform at the recital based on Overall awards and invitation only. Music, costumes and levels must be approved by Miss Julia. Registration for competitions is done through the studio and fees must be paid in full.
Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19
Encore Dance Studio has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Encore Dance Studio cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending Encore Dance Studio could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19
and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected
by COVID-19 by attending Encore Dance Studio and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of
becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Encore Dance Studio may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Studio
employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.
I voluntarily agree to assume all the foregoing risks and accept sole
responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to,
personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense,
of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my
child's attendance at Encore Dance Studio or participation in Studio programming.
On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue,
discharge, and hold harmless Encore Dance Studio, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Studio, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or
expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Encore Dance Studio, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any program.
NOTE: This policy is required. If you do not accept it, you will not be able to enroll this family into any classes or camps.
The parties agree that this agreement may be electronically signed by clicking "accept". The parties agree that by checking the "accept box" box on this agreement are the same as handwritten signatures for the purposes of validity, enforceability, and admissibility.
