The health & safety of our dancers is top priority. Our class sizes are 14 to 1 with a Teacher’s Assistant in each class.

To ensure your dancers are in the safest care possible, our staff has been advised by Sgt. Washington from the Police Precinct in Virginia Beach on proper safety and emergency protocol. These safety measures include, but are not limited to:

24/7 video surveillance of the studio
The door to the studio will be locked after the first 10 minutes of class to ensure no entry without approval of DanzStar staff
Emergency plan provided by Sgt. Washington for staff to follow if necessary
Periodic assessments and training from Law Enforcement officials to ensure that we have the best plan of action in place

Health and Safety Procedures:

Dance studio, bathroom and high touch surfaces will be disinfected.
The building will be fully cleaned & sanitized to prepare for classes each day.
Disinfectant wipes will be available for use.
Hand sanitizer stations will be located at the entrance.
Students will be asked to sanitize before, during (if needed) and after class.
O2 cleaner will be used to sanitize air throughout the building.
Bathroom occupancy will be limited to one person at a time unless within the same household.
Dancers are asked to leave shoes at the door and enter the building with the least amount of items possible.
The use of face coverings while dancing will be optional for staff members and dancers.

With this goal in mind, we ask that if your student is ill for any reason, please report their absence via your portal or email to admin@danzstar.com. We ask for any sick dancer to remain home until they are fever and symptom free.

Eating healthy and getting exercise is a great way to support your immune system. Fresh fruit and vegetables, regular and restful sleep and proper hygiene are all necessary in preventing illness.
