SEDA POLICIES & STUDIO RULES

Southern Elite Dance Academy
* All students must wear a cover-up over their dance wear to and from the studio.
* Dance shoes should not be worn outside of the building.
* GUM is NOT allowed in the studio!
* Water ONLY/NO SODA/NO JUICE
* Please do not leave any children unattended in the studio.
* No horseplay will be permitted in the studio.
* Dancers should arrive ONLY FIVE minutes before scheduled class time and be picked up promptly after class.
* Please notify the studio if you will be late picking up your dancer. After 2 late pick-ups or 2 early drop offs, you will be billed $10.00 for each late pick-up.
* If you must pick your dancer up early from class, please send a written notice or email us. No parents allowed to disrupt the class.
* Teachers reserve the right to dismiss any student from class who continuously disrupts.
* NO STREET SHOES ON MARLEY!!!
*All students should arrive to class on time.
* Be sure your student arrives 5 minutes before ( NO earlier please) his/her schedule class time. Please instruct your dancer to remain in the building and you should escort them to your car (all children 3-10) During peak times the parking lot gets crowded. Please do not park in front of the hair salon. Please drive slowly and carefully through the parking lot.
*If a student arrives late, please be courteous to not disrupt and be as quiet as you can.
*Students should come into class fully prepared with hair properly secured, in proper dress code and ready to dance.
*All students must follow the SEDA dress code policy. No jewelry may be worn to class other than small earrings.
*Student must keep talking to a minimum and any student who repeatedly disrupts the class will be dismissed from class.
*No T-shirts or sweats during class except Hip-Hop and proper undergarments are required.
* CELL PHONES will need to be placed in the “phone bucket” or your dancer can leave their phone at home or turned off in their bags.
* BE RESPECTFUL! BE READY TO DANCE!! WE LOVE TO TEACH YOU AND WE LOVE POSITIVE ATTITUDES!!!
Registration & Tuition Policies
*Registration is accepted on first come first serve basis.
*Classes will be closed to further enrollment once maximum capacity has been reached.
*An annual registration fee will be collected at time of enrollment.
*Initial payment will be collected at time of registration.
*Registration fees, tuition payments, recital fees and costume fees are non-refundable.
*There will be no prorating or refunds given due to missed classes.
Withdrawing Policy: You must email the studio director when wanting to withdraw from class. You will need to do it 30 days before your next payment will post. You will be responsible for the next payment if you do not give a thirty-day written notice. Please be aware that no prorating or refunds will be issued due to withdrawing from classes.
Inclement Weather: Southern Elite Dance Academy will cancel classes when SEDA chooses to close due to inclement weather. We will send out an email, post on Fb, Instagram and on the BAND app.
*Safety for your child is of our utmost concern.
*All young dancers 10 and under must be escorted to and from the building.
*If a health condition exist which will prevent full participation, please notify Southern Elite Dance Academy in writing as soon as possible.
*No child will be allowed to leave the studio with anyone other than a parent unless with written notice from parent.
*All children pay attention and are involved more in classes without parents observing. We want to encourage parents, friends and family to observe classes on the first week of every month. Please know your children are important to us and we want them all to learn, participate and enjoy classes. We will also have special dates during the year for observation. Classes will be closed to parents starting in March so that we have everyones full attention for recital.
Tuition is due on the first day of each month. Tuition will be considered late if not paid on the first and a $25.00 late fee will be automatically added. If your account is past due and not paid in full with in 30 days, your child will be refused admission to class. On the 10th day of every month all dancer’s with a past due amount, will have an invoice printed and taped to the mirror in an envelope so the dancer can bring parent the payment when they arrive for pick-up.
Southern Elite Dance Academy accepts payments by check and cash in the studio and credit cards (visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) through pay-pal online. If tuition due date falls while studio is closed at anytime for any reason please make payment before closure or online. A $25.00 late fee will be added to every past due account.
We will soon offer an automatic debit payment plan. If you feel like you are going to be late paying tuition this might be the solution. Contact Ms. Lisa for more info.
Payment of Fees: Tuition must be paid by one of the payment methods offered by Southern Elite Dance Academy. Credit Card or bank debit payments are not accepted in-person monthly. You can pay with cash or check in the studio. All cash and check payments must have a SEDA slip attached to payment. All credit/debit charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Southern Elite Dance Academy, LLC. All Tuition, registration fees, recital fees, costume fees, competition fees, recital tickets, and all fees associated with dance are non-refundable. SEDA does not pro-rate tuition.
No refunds will be issued due to withdrawing from classes.
No refunds for registration fees, tuition, recital fees or costumes, etc.
Registration : A non-refundable fee of $30 per student is required yearly at time of registration. Each additional sibling is $20.00
NSF: There is a NON SUFFICIENT FUND fee of $25.00 on all returned checks and debit/credit transactions that can not be made.
Recital Fees: To help defray the cost of recital expenses such as the theater rental, technicians, special effects, props, sets, etc, a non-refundable recital fee of $45.00 per family is due and will be added to your statement Jan 1st. The recital fee will include 2 complimentary tickets per family to our Spring Performance.
Cancelled Classes: Classes with less than five students may be cancelled, combined, or rescheduled at SEDA discretion.
Schedule Changes: Changes to your child’s schedule can be made up until February 1st. There are no schedule changes after February 1st and no drops after April 1st due to all the planning that goes into Recital.
Business Matters: Must be directed to our office. To voice any concerns or questions with Director, you must make an appointment for a scheduled meeting or email the director at SOUTHERNELITEDANCEACADEMY@GMAIL.COM No Instructor or Director is to be stopped before, after or during a dance class with questions. This takes away from scheduled classes and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Under no circumstance should a parent walk into a dance class room before, during or after a dance class.

Substitutions: The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made-up.
Missed Lessons and Make-Up lessons: No refunds or prorated tuition are given for missed classes. (School activities such as ski trips or programs, band trips, Spring Breaks that differ from our school’s Spring Break, sports games, etc. do not qualify for make-up classes)
