Terms & Conditions
Zamariah's Dance Academy (ZDA)
ZDA aim to provide the highest quality training in the Performing Arts to all of our students. We are committed to delivering the highest standard of service in a happy and safe environment. All teachers are insured, and all staff hold Enhanced DBS checks.

Registration
We will require you register via the Parent Portal link we will send. The information on this form contains personal data. ZDA will store your personal information securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation Act. Information will not be passed onto third parties and will be kept confidential, except where the law allows or requires, or where you have given your permission to do so. If your child is taking an ISTD or LCM exams they will require your child's name, date of birth and ethnicity. Please ensure you keep your information up to date with us.

Fee's
Fee's are due on or before the first day of each Term. An invoice will sent to you prior to the start of each term. If you wish to make changes to your child's classes please inform the Principal (Kielah Robinson) at the end of the term to ensure she can make the appropriate changes before she generates the next terms invoices. Please ensure you keep up to date with fees. If fees are not made by the second week of term a £5 per week late fee will be added to the outstanding fees. After 3 weeks of missed payments your child/ren will not be allowed into class until fees and any late charge fees are paid in full. Fees are non-refundable.

Trial Class
ZDA offers free trial classes to new pupils. If you wish to join, fees will be due after the trial class and you will be charged accordingly

Uniform/Appearance
Correct uniform must be worn for each class. Hair must be in a classical bun for all classes. Uniform is available to purchase directly through ZDA or by going onto the parent portal. No jewellery to be worn in classes for safety reasons. All uniform items are to be named please. All students will be expected to be in full ZDA uniform 3 weeks after starting with ZDA.

Physical Contact
During classes at ZDA it may be necessary for teachers to use physical contact in order to give effective correction and instruction. This is always conducted with the upmost care and professionalism.

Videos and Photographs
Photograph's and video footage containing your child maybe used for our website, press, marketing, promotional purposes, social media pages or as a learning tool. By agreeing to our terms and conditions and signing our registration form, you understand that you are consenting for your child to be part of this.

Classes
If your child cannot attend a class, you are kindly asked to inform us before the class is due to begin. Please ensure that your child arrives in good time and in the correct uniform and footwear. We ask that you let us know of any changes in drop off/pick up arrangements, medical conditions or any other condition/circumstances that may affect your child's wellbeing.

Cancelled Classes
Should the government require us to close the remaining classes for the term will be moved to 'zoom'. No refunds will be given.
Should we (ZDA) cancel a class/camp for any reason your fees will be refunded back to your parent portal account to use for future classes.

Personal Property
ZDA cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property. We have a lost property box where any items found will be stored. Please do not bring any valuables to dancing

Exams
ZDA enters students for ISTD dance exams and LCM Singing exams. Students will only be entered once the teacher decides that they are ready and have reached the required standard to pass. Children develop at differing rates and therefore parents will be notified when and if their child is considered for entry. Students being entered will be required to attend extra practice classes nearer the time of the exam. Exams are NOT compulsory. ZDA has the right to withdraw any student from an examination. Exam fees must be paid by the date given on the invoice.

We have a zero tolerance to bullying and any incident of bullying will be taken extremely seriously. At ZDA we are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our pupils so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. Bullying of any kind is totally unacceptable and not tolerated at our school.

Leaving ZDA
If you no longer wish to attend ZDA, please let Miss Kay know as soon as possible. 6 weeks notice, in writing, is required or you will be liable to pay for the next term.

Changes to Terms and Conditions ZDA reserves the right to update these T&Cs at anytime. You will be notified of any changes through usual channels of communication.
