COVID-19 Protocol
Nov 08, 2024 07:52 PM
Your health, and the health of our fabulous teachers, is our number one concern always. We follow the CDC guidelines. Here are some rules that we will implement to ensure everyone's safety.
1. There are no regular Zoom classes, but we will have ONE Zoom class following an exposure if a class has to quarantine due to an exposure. However, vaccinated dancers/teachers exhibiting no symptoms are allowed to come to class in person.
2. Masks and vaccinations are recommended for all who can.
3. All dancers will have their temperatures taken by a thermometer on their temple before walking in the door. All temperatures below 100* will be permitted to enter.
4. Attendance will be taken, and we will notify you if there was an exposure.
5. All dancers will sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the dance room.
6. All dancers must bring their own water bottle to place in their spot. The drinking fountain is closed, but the vending machine is open again if dancers want to purchase a snack before/after/between classes.
7. It is recommended that dancers use the restroom at home before coming to class. Restrooms will be cleaned once a day.
8. Non-dancers will not be permitted to enter the studio unless they are staying inside the class with their preschool dancer with no other siblings present. Preschool dancers are encouraged to come to class without an adult present. Adults tend to be a distraction.
9. The lobby will remain closed to all non-dancers.
10. All surfaces: door handles, mats, floors, barres, mirrors, etc. will be cleaned every day.
Dancers/teachers who have been exposed to COVID-19 need to quarantine until they have a negative test. The test must be taken 5 days after the last known contact with an infected person.
Please keep dancers home if they have the following symptoms. Dancers may return after it has been 10 days since the symptoms first appeared, or a negative COVID test taken on day 5 of the symptoms first appearing:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Dancers are welcome to make up their in-person class by attending a similar class in-person! Please just notify us via email that your dancer is planning on making up a class.
We hope that these new policies will help your dancer stay healthy as well as still allow them to continue to dance. It's such a tough balance of protecting health while still allowing our kids to experience life.
We miss you all and appreciate your continued support!
