THE CONSERVATORY'S MISSION
The Conservatory delivers dance programming distinguished by artistic integrity, transparency and accountability; grounded in the principles of lifelong growth, exploration and development as artists and as people.
The Conservatory's dance education practices reflect our deep appreciation for sustainability and responsible resource management; cultural authenticity, tradition, sensitivity and evolution; and our accountability to learn from one another as global caretakers and citizens.
The Conservatory actively partners with groups and individual members of our regional community to offer inclusive arts participation, education, performance and outreach experiences as a demonstration of our respect for the inherent dignity and value of all people.

Dear Conservatory Community,
We hope that this finds you keeping safe and well. We miss seeing all of you, and look forward to a time when we can dance together again.
In the mean time, please find lots of at-home resources in your Class Files in the portal. There are follow-along videos, music, notes and supplemental resources for all classes. We have tried to keep the video formats familiar, so that they are just like being in a class. If you prefer just to use the music, it is there for you, too, as are the notes.
Every family will have different needs and will cope in a way that is best for them. Some families prefer to stay very busy; other families want time to gradually settle into new routines and process changes. All of these different ways of coping are valid, and useful. Your needs may change from day-to-day. Our goal is simply to give you lots of options as we all navigate this ever-changing situation together. You can use as much or as little as you like. We don't expect anyone to do everything. Go at the speed that is best for your body and your mind. Trust yourself to settle into a routine and adapt in the way that is best for you. There is no rush. There is no pressure. There are many ways of learning and the only "right" way is the one that works for you in the present.
Reach out anytime if we can help. We are all in this together. We've go this. Take good care of each other and be well.
Melissa, Anthea and Sam
