Acro Level Intermediate/Advanced
In this high-energy class, your child will learn basic floor tumbling skills in acrobatics that increase flexibility, improve coordination, and build strength. Dancers will focus learning 5 elements of acrobatic progressions: balancing, limbering, strength, flexibility, and tumbling. . 55 minutes
Acrobatic Arts is a progressional system for teaching AcroDance. Through thoughtful progressions, teachers will introduce new skills as the dancer has trained his/her body for the skill and is ready for it. This greatly reduces the potential for injury, creates more technically correct work, and helps dancers to progress more quickly (in the long run).

In order to get the most out of this program, we advise starting your dancers at the beginning and working through each level, only allowing your students to move to the next level once they have mastered all 28 skills. This way, your dancers will develop a balanced skill set, as well as a healthy, balanced body in flexibility and strength as well as both left and right body. Following the program this way will reduce and hopefully eliminate injuries in your acro classes!

It is not advisable to work on skills that above your student's level. Not only is it dangerous, but can actually have negative effects on technical training, and can cause a student to regress instead of advance.

Dress Code: Girls- Biketard or Leotard with shorts, hair pulled back in ponytail or pig tails. Convertible or footless tights required. Boys- fitted athletic wear.
