The Prodigy Musical Theater Troupe presenting The Little Mermaid Jr. Spring Semester
The Troupe is open to student performers ages 5-18 who have a passion for acting, singing, and dancing. All Troupe members must register to participate. The program length is late August- mid May, but is broken into two semesters. There will be an audition in the Fall and also in the Spring to cast roles for the featured production that will take place each semester. The purpose for the Troupe is to provide additional learning and performing opportunities for students wanting to develop their talents, further their experience, and share their enthusiasm for the performing arts with new friends. Offering the option of committing to Fall semester ONLY, Spring semester ONLY, or BOTH semesters gives the opportunity for performers with varied interests and calendar commitments to commit for the length of time that is right for them.

Each semester, Troupe members will participate in community performances, will attend musical theater workshops, and will perform a full length Disney or Broadway Jr production.

Interested parents should request a copy of the Troupe Info Packet by emailing info@prodigyperformingarts.com

About The Little Mermaid Jr.:
"Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking."
