Petite Pearl Intro to Dance

This fun-filled class provides our pre-K through kindergarten students with an increasingly challenging and enjoyable dance experience in a mature setting. With increased muscle control and body awareness, our 4-5 aged students spend time studying tap along with ballet within their class time. Students are introduced to basic Ballet, Jazz, Tap steps and terminology to set the stage for their growth in dance. Our program ensures that students are physically and mentally ready to learn proper dance habits and correctly execute the steps. Intro to Dance provides the perfect bridge between Dance Discovery and the single-discipline K-2nd classes. Intro to Dance is a one hour class where students will spend 30 minutes learning ballet/jazz and 30 minutes learning tap. Dress Code: Girls: leotard, tights, hair in bun or ponytail, pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes Boys: athletic wear, black ballet or oxford style jazz shoes and tap shoes (oxford style)

This upbeat session is perfect for any student ready to have fun and take a step into the world of dance and musical theater! It will feature a basic introduction to jazz dance terminology and technique, performance tips and tricks in the musical theatre genre and will perform a musical theatre routine in our end of the year recital! Dress code: dance/fitted athletic attire and jazz shoes. Hair must be up and secure.

Petite Pearl Dance Discovery

For the preschooler ready to step out on his or her own, Dance Discovery is the perfect introduction to the world of dance. Young dancers use movement, imagery, music, props, and their imaginations, to learn basic dance skills and develop the confidence to succeed in a classroom setting. Students work on balance, coordination, locomotor skills, appropriate classroom etiquette, counting, taking turns, circle time, spatial relations, and basic memorization. Dancers must be fully potty trained to participate in this class. Dress Code Girls: leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun or ponytail. Boys: athletic wear, black ballet shoes

Leap, turn and stretch as you work on the fundamentals of jazz technique. Dancers build style and confidence in this upbeat and energetic class. Pair this class with Sapphire Poms from 9:30am - 10:00am and Sapphire Hip Hop from 10:00am - 10:30am for the perfect morning of dance! Dress Code: Girls: leotard, tights, tan jazz shoes, hair in a bun or ponytail. Fitted dance shorts are welcome. Boys: athletic clothing, black jazz shoes

Petite Pearl Intro to Dance

This fun-filled class provides our pre-K through kindergarten students with an increasingly challenging and enjoyable dance experience in a mature setting. With increased muscle control and body awareness, our 4-5 aged students spend time studying tap along with ballet within their class time. Students are introduced to basic Ballet, Jazz, Tap steps and terminology to set the stage for their growth in dance. Our program ensures that students are physically and mentally ready to learn proper dance habits and correctly execute the steps. Intro to Dance provides the perfect bridge between Dance Discovery and the single-discipline K-2nd classes. Intro to Dance is a one hour class where students will spend 30 minutes learning ballet/jazz and 30 minutes learning tap. Dress Code: Girls: leotard, tights, hair in bun or ponytail, pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes Boys: athletic wear, black ballet or oxford style jazz shoes and tap shoes (oxford style)

Dance like your favorite professional, college or high school dance teams in our fun pompom class! Dancers work on strength, precision and timing as they incorporate dance and pompon techniques. Perfect when paired with Saturday Jazz 9:00am - 9:30am and Hip Hop 10:00am - 10:30am! Dress Code: Girls: leotard, tights, tan jazz shoes, hair in a bun or ponytail, dance shorts are welcome but not required. The purchase of a pair of white/silver pompons is required for participation in this class. $35.00 plus MO sales tax.
