AcroDance is an art form specifically for dancers. Acro has softer, more lyrical-looking lines, with the emphasis being on lengthening through the tricks and holding pretty balances with interesting variations. In Acro, we teach our students to dance into and out of Acro tricks, with minimal obvious preparation before and after a trick. Despite being technically difficult to execute, acrobatic tricks are meant to blend in seamlessly with dance steps, providing an extra level of excitement and flair to dance choreography.
Although gymnastics and Acro Dance both contain several of the same tricks, the techniques of these two genres are very different.

Dress Code: leotard, shorts, and footless or convertible foot tights. no jewelry.
Hair securely fasted off the face and neck.

Cecchetti Grade II Syllabus Class
Sarah Easter
4 spots left
For committed students who are serious about their growth as dancers. It is recommended students be between ages 11-15, though there is no age cap (you can even be in your 30s). Students must have prior ballet experience if under age 13.

You do not have to be presented for an exam to take the class. In order to take the Grade 2 exam, you must have passed the Grade 1 exam.
Ballet exams are valuable for serious ballet students because they promote the development of strong technique, artistry, and quality of movement. It takes discipline to study theory and work hard in class to reach the technical requirements for each grade level.

Good classroom attendance is key to excellent ballet technique. Most dancers preparing for ballet exams take a minimum of two ballet classes per week. The number of weekly classes will increase as the dancer progresses through the levels.
