TEEN: Advanced Modern
COREQUISITE: Students are required to be enrolled in Teen Ballet (with previous Modern experience) or D6 - D7 Ballet to take this class.

Modern dance evolved from ballet and is a creative art form that uses natural and abstract movements, instead of the standardized movements of classical ballet. The movements express ideas, feelings, and emotions. Modern is known for its independence, invention, and non-traditional attitude, but it does use classical ballet vocabulary and terminology, as well as ballet exercises, and thus ballet experience is required. This class is suitable for students who are currently Teen Ballet or D3 - D7 Ballet students. Previous experience in Modern is recommended.
