Ballet (ages 7 and up)is the foundation of all dance styles. When beginning a ballet program more advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is introduced with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center floor work is introduced with continued focus on the positions of the arms, legs and feet using classical ballet vocabulary. As the dancer progresses more advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is continued with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Hair up securely in either a braid, bun or ponytail. We recommend for dancers coming straight from school to do your hair as you would for your ballet class in the morning before heading out for your day.

Tiny Toes ages 2.5 to 4
Tiny Toes (ages 2.5 and 4) classes introduce a structured environment while allowing children to recognize their own individuality and body mobility. Focus is on coordination and rhythm introduced in creative and imaginative ways. Keeping students entertained while learning beginning dance skills will help them to acquire a lifelong love for dance. THIS CLASS NOW CONSISTS OF TAP AND BALLET TECHNIQUES. Dress Code Pink Tights, Pink Leotard, Pink Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet slippers and black patent leather tap shoes. Hair up in either a braid, ponytail or bun.

Jazz Ages 8 to 10 Level 2
Jazz (ages 7 and up) classes explore traditional, Broadway and contemporary styles in a fun, energetic atmosphere. Classes begin with a warm-up with stresses technique, flexibility, coordination and strength, followed by progressions across the floor, center work and combinations. Beginner students learn fundamental jazz steps and basic vocabulary through across the floor exercises and simple combinations. Intermediate classes focus on body placement and proper technique, stretching and development of skills. Advanced classes emphasize quality of movement in addition to perfecting technique, performance skills and varied styles. Dress Code for this class is tan tights, a black leotard and black bootie shorts. Hair up in either a braid, bun or pony tail. Tan Jazz booties.

Triple Threat ages 5 and 6
TRIPLE THREAT (ages 5 and 6) Combines tap, ballet and jazz genres of dance. This class will develop your child’s coordination as well as an understanding of dance concepts and terminology. Through this enjoyable educational experience, students will learn to use dance as a creative means of self-expression. Dance Fusion concentration is on vocabulary, alignment and proper execution of movement and memorization and independence through sequential tasking. This class will perform two dances in our recital. Dress Code is either pink, tan or black tights with either a pink or black leotard and ballet skirt. Dancers will wear pink ballet slippers for the ballet and jazz portion of the class and black patent leather tap shoes for the tap portion of their class.

Our advanced tap dancers are challenged through improvisational exercises, intricate rhythms and footwork. Dress Code tan tights, black leotard, black bootie short and flat tan buckle tap shoes.
