Kinder/Petite Ukrainian Dance
Dolyna Ukrainian Dancers is a PERFORMING GROUP and it is expected that dancers will be available for ALL performances throughout the year, especially from January to June.
In any year, we might be performing at: Malanka (Ukrainian New Year’s Eve Celebration), Perogy Night, Provincial Festival in Mission (first weekend in May), VIREO School of Performing Arts Year End Showcase in June, etc. Our dancers are also asked to perform at various community events/functions. If your child is involved in other activities that will conflict with performances, please talk to the instructors BEFORE you register for dance with us this year. We sometimes have short notice about performances, please plan your family's activities accordingly. Thank you for this consideration.
Girls Dress Code: Black leotard with tights and ballet slippers. Hair must be tied neatly back into a ballet bun.
Boys Dress Code: White or black athletic t-shirt with black shorts, leggings, or athletic pants and black jazz slippers. Hair must be neat and off of the face.
Dolyna Dancers - Comox Valley Society has additional footwear for performances such as red ballet slippers, red boots, and black character shoes that are included in costume rental fee.
All dancers enrolled in Ukrainian dance classes MUST be a member of the Dolyna Dancers - Comox Valley Society.
Ukrainian Dance classes incur a membership fee of $15.00 per family, per year, and a costume rental fee of $150.00 per family, per year.
Membership and costume rental fees are payable to Dolyna Dancers - Comox Valley Society via e-transfer to cvdolynadancers@gmail.com.
Membership fee ($15) and at least 1/3 costume rental fee ($50) due at time of registration.
Second ($50) and third ($50) costume rental fees are due by January 15th, 2024 and April 15th, 2024.
