This class is designed according to age-level to introduce your child to a variety of dance styles and techniques. Classical ballet- to learn the language of dance, work on refining basic locomotive skills, and encouraging self-expression through movement; Tap- learning basic coordination skills and working on putting combinations to different rhythms of music and hip-hop to cultivate a versatile performer. This class will increase your child's dancing ability in these dance styles and focuses on group interaction and the joy of movement and self-expression.

Ballet- This class is the beginning of formalized classical ballet including barre, center, and stretching exercises. Musicality, coordination, and movement dynamics are concentrated on to help the dancer create a strong foundation for dance.
Hip Hop- This class provides a fun-filled, high-energy environment designed to teach dancers fundamental Jazz and Hip-Hop techniques and vocabulary. A focus on musicality, strengthening, and stretching is emphasized to help create a well-rounded dancer.

This class is suited for the experienced and serious dancer who has had at least 3+ consecutive years of ballet. Dancers in this class will begin by taking a full, technique focused ballet barre followed by center work with emphasis on adagio, pirouettes, and allegro. Enrollment in this class is by placement only. At this level, two ballet classes per week is in addition to at least one pre-pointe/pointe class is required. Advanced Pointe (By Placement)
This Pointe class is for the experienced dancer who has had 3+ years of ballet training. Pointe shoes should only be purchased and worn at the teacher's discretion. The class will begin with Thera-band exercises designed to strengthen feet and ankles, an intense barre designed for ballet and Pointe dancers and will work on pointe technique in a professional way. Enrollment into this class requires approval by the Conservatory Faculty. For safety purposes, students must be enrollment and take the ballet class scheduled prior to this Pointe class to be allowed to participate in this class.

Students will begin learning technique and contemporary dance styles from numerous origins developed over the past century – and developing still.
