We are very proud of all our teachers and students at Virginia Academy of Dance! Every class is a special part of the school and together is what makes VAD a team!
Dancers should show up to every class and rehearsal in the specific uniform for that level or class with their hair done and the correct shoes. Attending class with the incorrect dress code for 2 weeks will lead to a note, 3 times will lead to the dancer not being allowed to dance.

Dancers will receive creative clearance with the guidance of their teacher in a safe place while also making sure that they are learning necessary techniques for later in life experiences needed.

Debutants is a ballet level created for dancers that are "in between" the traditional levels here at VAD.
Dancers that are not quite ready for pointe are put in this level so that they can build their strength at the skill level perfect for them.
Debutants also may be dancers that want to continue to take ballet training, but aren't interested in the pointe work aspect.
