The Dance Collective staff are trained in Acrobatic Arts and our classes follow the guidelines of this syllabus. Students that participate in Acro class with develop their Acro technique which includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength.

Musical Theatre with Miss Courtney

The Theatrical and Performing Arts syllabus is designed to be easy to use and gives teachers a great deal of freedom of choice. It provides a broad framework, which may be adapted to an existing music theatre class or it may provide a completely new training stream. The Syllabus includes dialogue, song, dance, stagecraft, safe dance practice, musical theatre and acrobatics. Renowned musicals are studied at each level.

At The Dance Collective our students train using the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. The syllabus is used as a guide for all our Ballet classes from Pre-Primary and above. Ballet is the technical foundation of all dance styles, and we believe it is an integral part of dance. From Primary Ballet, students can train in up to two classes of ballet a week with the opportunity to work towards their graded and vocational examinations. Students are taught correct posture and poise, while improving muscle development and strength.

The class allows children to explore music, rhythm, and basic dance technique in a combination of genres such as Ballet and Jazz with an emphasis on FUN! The structure of the class allows our Teeny and Tiny Tots to explore creativity and develops and ignites a love for dance whilst listening and singing along to their favorite nursery rhymes and Disney Songs.
