This class is a gentle introduction to ballet and basic dance steps. Circle spots and props are used in various ways to encourage our young dancers to discover the joy of movement and develop musicality. Parents may watch in the room or leave and return for pick-up at the end of class. Toilet training is not necessary.

Ages 5-7
Ballet
Dancers will learn the five positions, beginner barre work, basic turns, jumps, and traveling exercises. Emphasis is placed on body alignment, proper arm placement, and introductory terminology. (No prerequisite. Ages 5 and older may register. Typical age range is 5-6 years.)

Jazz
Dancers will learn the fundamentals of jazz dance through floor exercises and simple combinations. They'll focus on body placement, proper technique as well as stretching to ensure they have a sound foundation for more complex steps later down the line!

Tap
These classes coordinate variations of tap disciplines. Focus on developing stronger, more challenging tap sounds, vocabulary, terminology and movement of feet with body, in center and across the floor combinations to various music of choice.

Ages 5-7
Students will focus on acrobatic and tumbling moves that will enhance their dance skills and routines. An emphasis will be placed on flexibility, stretch, and balance to increase technique on an individual level. Students will be taught proper technique for landing and supporting one another in partner work.

Level 2 - Turns | Leaps | Strength | Stretch
Our Advanced Turns and Leaps Dance Class is designed for dancers who are looking to take their technique to the next level. In this class, our experienced instructors will focus on improving your turning and leaping abilities through targeted exercises and drills.

Throughout the class, you will learn to execute turns such as pirouettes, fouettés, and chainés with greater precision and control. You will also work on your leaping technique, including grand jetés, sautés, and tour jetés.

Our instructors will guide you in proper alignment, spotting techniques, and core strength to help you master these challenging skills. We will also incorporate progressions across the floor to give you the opportunity to apply the newly learned techniques into movement.

This class is open to dancers who are looking to take their turning and leaping abilities to the next level. Whether you are a competitive dancer or simply looking to improve your technique, our turns and leaps class is perfect for anyone who is willing to challenge themselves to become a better dancer.

This is a combo class. Each dancer must be registered for Tap, Ballet, & Jazz.

Ages 11-15 *Teacher placement will determine class*
Ballet
Dancers will learn intermediate barre work with an emphasis on alignment and strengthening of the core muscles. There is an increased demand on clean foot work along with head and arm coordination. Center floor consists of adagio, multiple turn combinations, petite/grande allegro, and challenging traveling combinations. (Class placement determined by skill level. Typical age range is 11-15 years.)

In this level, dancers work to connect their steps together in fluid combinations and traveling exercises. Attention is placed on increased control and balance necessary to learn advanced turns, jumps, and extensions. (Class placement determined by skill level. Typical age range is 13+ years. Ballet and/or jazz experience is preferred.)

Center floor work consists of intricate combinations to continue to advance the student’s technique. Dancers strive to execute the combinations at a performance level. (Class placement determined by skill level. Typical age range is 13-18 years.)

Ballet
Dancers will use the five positions at the barre to execute more intricate combinations. In the center, they will strive to master more complex turns, petite/ grande allegro, and traveling exercises. Emphasis is placed on fluidity of movement, proper arm and head placement, musicality, and more advanced terminology. (Class placement determined by skill level. Typical age range is 7-10 years.)

Jazz
Dancers will learn the fundamentals of jazz dance through floor exercises and simple combinations. They'll focus on body placement, proper technique as well as stretching to ensure they have a sound foundation for more complex steps later down the line!
