Intermediate Hip-Hop
Hip Hop students are introduced to contemporary hip hop dance styles as well as old school moves. Class consists of a cardio warm-up, center work and dance combinations to appropriate current pop and hip hop music.
Attire: Tight fitting top, sweatpants/dancepants that cover the knees (for floorwork), clean sneakers. SHOES for this class MUST NOT BE WORN OUTSIDE.

Recreational Ballet Ages 6-8
Dancers at this level will start class at the ballet barre to work on classical technique, executing combinations at different musical tempos and on different musical counts. They will also build strength and learn how to put several steps together while smoothly transferring their weight and holding correct posture and body placement. Dancers will add several new steps to their repertoire. Center work will consist of an adagio, a tendu combination, jumps – including petit allegro and batterie, and pirouette preparations and turns. Corner work will consist of jump, waltz, and various traveling combinations kept in time to the music.
ATTIRE
Girls: Black leotard, Pink/Black ballet skirt, Pink tights,
Pink ballet shoes (canvas/split sole), hair in bun.
Boys: White shirt, tight black pants/men’s ballet tights, black/tan ballet shoes.

Beginner Hip Hop
This beginner class is just that… designed for dancers who are new to hip hop and want to achieve a basic understanding of the fundamentals. This class will incorporate beginner technique, progressions to develop rhythm and musicality, and choreography taught at a slower pace. This class is ideal for those who need to incorporate hip hop into their dance training. No experience is needed!
Attire: loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely; sneakers are required.

Recreational Musical Theatre Ages 6-11
Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with Broadway style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills.

Creative Movement Ages 4-5
This class is recommended for dancers who are in Pre-K and kindergarten and are ready for a more structured class than Creative Movement. Dancers will perform various stretches, utilizing props such as balls, resista-bands, towels, and books to increase flexibility and an understanding of how their muscles coordinate to help them dance. They will spend time at the ballet barre and in the center of the room learning the positions of the arms and feet, as well as, learning basic ballet steps. Dancers will also be taught to travel from one corner of the room to the next by way of basic turns, jumps, and leaps. Dancers will also learn to count music and dance on the correct musical counts.
