Contemporary blends several types of dance into its own unique style. It includes elements of ballet, jazz, modern, and even hip hop. Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions and to be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotions. It focuses on spatial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, technique, efficiency of muscle usage, musicality and safe body alignment. Technical dance experience is recommended for this class.

Commercial dance is a highly stylized dance style that focuses primarily on learning and embodying choreography. It incorporates movements from hip-hop, jazz, house, and contemporary dance. A strong emphasis is placed on performance quality and building confidence within your own execution.

This class is for advanced dancers with previous technical training. This class will build on prior knowledge and the ability to develop precision and accuracy in technical skills. Dancers will work on proper alignment, strength, flexibility, understanding of body awareness, and mobility to help improve their execution of leaps, turns, jumps, extensions, and other dance skills/tricks. Class will include warm-up, isolations, stretches, and across-the-floor progressions. It feels incredible to nail these moves, and it is the closest feeling you'll get to flying!

Industry Hip-Hop is a fast-paced and energetic dance style that encompasses a wide range of street styles. Hip hop uplifted generations of people in difficult socio-economic conditions, particularly in the African American and Hispanic communities of the Bronx where it originated.
