Contemporary dance borrows from ballet, jazz, social dances, and many modern dance techniques of the 20th century. Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions, being able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. It focuses on spacial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment. This class is for Beginner to Advanced Beginner level dancers with 2-3 years of technical training.

Show Stars Lyrical is a fusion of ballet with jazz and contemporary dance techniques. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions. An age specific 60 minute class containing ballet, tap and jazz. This is also a progression of the movements learned in our Twinkle Star classes.

On 2 Salsa originated in New York, and is often referred to as “New York Style” salsa. New York style salsa is known for its smooth and elegant turn patterns and footwork sequences. On 2 salsa is also sometimes referred to as mambo, which is an earlier style of Latin dance that was popular before salsa.

In this Intermediate/Advanced Level Salsa class students will enhance turning and shine techniques related to Salsa On2. They will also prepare to learn partner-style dancing. Students must complete all levels of Mambo (1-4) in order to take this class or have Instructor permission.

READY SET ACRO is a collaborative acrobatic program developed with Industry Leader Acrobatic Arts, specifically designed for preschoolers. The program is developed with original music with lyric cues and focuses on three key components: Stretch, Strength, and Skills.

STRETCH: Enhance flexibility and expand the range of motion in all major muscle groups.
