This style of dance differs from others in that dancers must be aware of the sight and sound of their movements as well as how it integrates with other dancers in the group. As a classic style of dance, Tap is vital in the development of dexterity, rhythm and timing. Classes will provide techniques, combinations and further build on a dancers Tap vocabulary.

Musical theatre is a fun, creative and VERY expressive 30 minute class. Combining elements of simple dance steps, lip syncing and drama, musical theatre helps students develop their performance skills. The focus of this class is on teaching students how to use their movements and facial expression to create a more diverse and engaging performance.

Demi Pointe
Open to all dancers 8+ years old that aspire to dancing en pointe. Dancers must work their way up to dancing en pointe, strengthening their muscles and preparing their bodies for pointe work. Dancers will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working on pointe technique to progress their skill level. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. A demi Point Class is an imperative stepping stone to bridge the gap in feet and ankle strength, skill and age from flat ballet to full en Pointe.

Rec Pointe - Invite Only
By invitation only. All pointe classes are designed for dancers with previous ballet training. Dancers will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working on pointe technique to progress their skill level. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles. Classes can be taken on flat or in pointe shoes at the instructors discretion. Dancers must also be enrolled in Ballet 3.

In this class, dancers will focus on conditioning exercises to prepare them to perform acrobatic tricks, balances, and tumbling. This class will have a teaching team. The primary teacher, who is an accredited gymnastics coach, will focus on increasing flexibility, strength, and control to improve the dancer’s ability to perform acrobatic tricks, balances, and tumbling. The 2nd teacher will focus on developing choreography and incorporating those acrobatic tricks, balances, and tumbling skills into the performance. No previous experience is required.

Basic turns, walks, and jumps are some of the steps that will be introduced to students. Age appropriate music and movements will provide a fun and safe space for children to be introduced to the genres of Acro dance.
