A survey class with a focus on basic techniques from modern dance (i.e. the Horton technique used by Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham), commercial dance (i.e. Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, etc.), and improvisation styles. The combination of these styles is referred to as "Fusion", and is a part of the contemporary style of dance. Participants are encouraged to also take Teen Ballet as an accompanying class to ensure safe movement and proper technique.

Teen Dance Intensive
Concentrated 2-week workshop for the serious dance student, focused on expanding both artistry and technique.

Students are placed in one of three levels: Open Level, Intermediate, Advanced.

All students will explore Ballet, Pre-Point/Pointe, Variations, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Body Conditioning, Nutrition & Choreographic Workshops.

For placement into the intermediate/advanced level, dancers should audition on February 24th, 2024, or submit a requisite video audition. Open Level placement does not require an audition.

NOTE: 4+ years of consecutive ballet training are required for pointe and variations classes.
