This class is designed to get the kids started early learning rhythm, coordination, confidence, and social skills. We focus on basic gross motor skills and movement. Ages 5-7 Tap/Ballet
This class is a combination class of ballet and tap.
Ballet is considered to be the root of all dance. Ballet instills poise, grace, strength, and flexibility. Classes concentrate on terminology, composition, and techniques at the barre and centre floor.
Tap dance is a form of dance that focuses on coordination, timing, and syncopated rhythm. Tap is an expression of movement through sound. Dancers will learn tap technique at the barre, energetic combinations, and choreography by performing rhythm-based steps. Once you start tapping you will never want to stop!
* This class will perform one routine in ballet and one routine in tap in the June 2025 Recitals.
* Dancers will receive a costume for ballet and another for tap.

Instruction involves strong concentration on correct body alignment, along with the development of attention span, discipline, and musicality.
*Students must have 2 years of Pre-Pointe and also be at least 12 years old, prior to joining Pointe classes. This ensures the student has gained proper alignment, strength, and control required for pointe shoes.

Tap dance is a form of dance that focuses on coordination, timing, and syncopated rhythm. Tap is an expression of movement through sound. Dancers will learn tap technique at the barre, energetic combinations, and choreography by performing rhythm-based steps. Once you start tapping you will never want to stop!

This class is preparation for students seeking to study en pointe. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening the core, developing center of balance, and reinforcing correct foot and ankle positioning to a safe and successful transition to pointe work. This level introduces a structured ballet class, implementing the study of classical ballet vocabulary. Instruction involves strong concentration on correct body alignment, along with the development of attention span, discipline, and musicality. Students must have 2 years of Pre-Pointe and also be at least 12 years old, prior to joining Pointe classes. This ensures the student has gained proper alignment, strength, and control required for pointe shoes.
