Dancers will learn a combination of creative movement skills, fine and gross motor skills, and classical ballet steps. While students in Beginning Ballet are most comfortable when they’ve attended a pre-ballet class, it is not necessary to have had prior training before entering this class. This beginner-level class introduces ballet techniques, terminology, musicality, and discipline. As this is a younger class, we also focus on ensuring your child has fun and develops a genuine love for ballet.
Ages 5 - 9

Adult Tap and Jazz
This class will provide the dancer with the opportunity to discover the joy of the tap dancer within. Therefore this class is for the student who has never danced or may have less than 1 year of tap dance experience. In addition to understanding time and rhythm, the dancer will develop an understanding of tap vocabulary such as flaps, shuffles, cramp rolls and ball change. This class will enable the student to successfully execute these and other basic, fundamental tap dance skills. Tap Shoes are not required but they enhance the experience.
The Jazz portion of class will focus on syncopated rhythms, body isolations, and precision. Students will begin class with a warm-up, progress to across-the-floor exercises, and end with learning choreography.
