Assistant Training Class
This class is required for who are interested in assisting classes this season. Even if you have already been an assisstant you will need to take this class.
Some pre-requistes are you must be a current student and have a minimum of two years of dance experience and be at least 9 years old, You must also train in the style in which you assist.
Assistants assist with the same class each week, will need to have excellent attendance, be good with children and be responsible. They will need to be able to remember assistant choreography in addition to their own classes as they will help at the shows as well. You are not guaranteed to be chosen as an assistant because it is need based, but we would like to give this opportunity to all responsible dancers ages 9 and up and if you aren't chosen for a weekly class we would definitely use you at shows or to sub for another assistant as needed. We look forward to training your dancer!

Mini tap and ballet is a combo class consisting of 20 mins of tap and 25 mins of ballet.
This program allows children to learn dance in a way to keep their attention. Taught in a nurturing environment; this class gives young students the basis to develop their love and appreciation of dance. This class teaches basic dance elements such as: basic dance steps, locomotor movement, limbering exercises, musical awareness, and creative expression and coordination skills. It also teaches listening skills to follow directions and teaches them about patterns and rhythms and teamwork as well as building confidence.
Dress Code:
Girls: light purple leotard, pink tights with black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes with elastic bands across the top of the foot. Dance skirts are optional. Hair must be secured out of the dancer’s face in a neat bun, braid or ponytail.
Boys: Solid colored T-shirt and pants or shorts (no sweatpants) with thin socks, black tap shoes & ballet shoes.

Classes usually begins with a warm-up including body conditioning, followed with technique, progressions and choreography.

Girls: Leotard or form fitting tank top, dance pants or shorts, tan jazz shoes. Hair secured neatly in a bun, ponytail or braid.

Jazz is a fun, upbeat and expressive class.. Classes usually begin with a warm-up including body conditioning, followed with technique, progressions and choreography. Co-enrollment in ballet is require to register for Jazz II. Instructor placement is required.
Dress Code:

Acrobatic Dance
This class follows the Acrobatic Arts syllabus that builds strong performers. We will focus on gaining body control, flexibility and strength as well as fundamental acrobatic technique that enhance their agility. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin and elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, and many others as the dancers progress to such things as specialty tricks. Each student progresses on a individual level with exams given frequently to make sure they are learning at the appropriate level.
Pre-requisite: Acrobatic Skills Audition

Our instructor is certified in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance which is a groundbreaking rhythm and dance program designed for those with individual learning differences and abilities. This class is great for those with special needs. It will focus on gross and fine motor skills, body awareness, body control, social skills, strength, flexibility, focus, imitation, memory & recall coordination and so much more.

Pre-School Tap & Ballet/Acro
Pre-school tap and ballet is a combo class consisting of 20 mins of tap and 20 mins of ballet and 20 mins of Acro introduction.
This program allows children to learn dance in a way to keep their attention. Taught in a nurturing environment; this class gives young students the basis to develop their love and appreciation of dance. This class teaches basic dance elements such as: basic dance steps, locomotor movement, limbering exercises, musical awareness, and creative expression and coordination skills. It also teaches listening skills to follow directions and teaches them about patterns and rhythms and teamwork as well as building confidence.
Must have a minimum of 5 students for the class to run.
Dress Code:
Girls: light purple leotard, pink tights with black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes with elastic bands across the top of the foot. Dance skirts are optional. Hair must be secured out of the dancer’s face in a neat bun, braid or ponytail.
