As students become more advanced, they can work up to skills such as aerials and handsprings. Acro focuses on increasing strength, and flexibility, and creating fluid dance pieces.

The class consists of warm-up, stretching and strengthening exercises, conditioning, across-the-floor dance, circuits, balancing skills, across-the-floor skills. Pointe work is a fundamental component of advanced ballet technique, in which dancing occurs on the tips of fully extended feet supported within specialised pointe shoes. Beginner Pointe is a permission-only class for dancers in Level 5 and above. The first half of the year will focus on preparatory conditioning and technique work, with the dancers passing an assessment to ensure safety in strength and alignment before progressing to pointe work in the second half of the year.

Due to the introductory level nature of this class, dancers do NOT participate in performances. In lieu of this, a class observation day may occur in June.

Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of dance. With a big focus on expression and telling a story through dance, these classes progress into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.

Dancers work to build strength both focsuing on the deep tissues and more core muscle groups. With the use of resistance bands, yoga blocks and other tools, dancers push themselves to strengthen their bodies. Dancers will also focus on deepening their flexibility in all major areas of the body to increase range of movmeent in a safe and stable way. This class gives dancers the abilities to have major support and control for their dancing.

Beginner Pointe is a permission-only class for dancers in Level 5 and above. We have exciting use of props in our lessons, your children will anticipate monthly themes and love sharing all their new moves at home. Our Storybook Adventure Ballet continues to build upon the classical foundations taught in our preschool program. Our classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus while also introducing the study of classical ballets taught using our own Element syllabus. Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of ballet. With a big focus on unlocking your child’s imagination and telling a story through dance, these classes progress from our preschool program into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.

Acrobatic and dance combined in a challenging, fun, and safe environment. Skills such as aerials, handsprings, and handstand walking are learned at this level. As students become more advanced, they can work up to skills such as layouts and arabian walkovers. Acro focuses on increasing strength, flexibility, and creating fluid dance pieces. Class consists of warm up, stretching and strengthening exercises, conditioning, across the floor dance, circuits, balancing skills, across the floor skills, as well as combinations and choreography.

*A technique/foundations, ballet, or jazz class is required for Acrobatic Arts Level 5-6 or higher*

Modern dance is a dance style that focuses on dancer's own interpretations and structured steps. This class is based on the fundamentals of Horton and Graham based techniques: flat backs, primitive squat, lateral stretches, release swings, leg swings, deep lunges, T positions, coccyx balance and stag positions.
